Enjoy the best of southern Chile in this 6-hour excursion. A guide will meet you at your cruise port or hotel and take you on the excursion. This excursion includes entrance fee to go see the Petrohue Waterfalls and for lunch time you will enjoy a snack with two glasses of Chilean wine. This complete tour visits one of the first German towns in southern Chile, known as Frutillar. It also visits Puerto Varas, know as the city of roses and also the breathtaking Petrohue Waterfalls.

After your ship docks in Puerto Montt, you will ride onboard your air-conditioned private vehicle and begin your journey to Petrohue Waterfalls located in Vicente Perez Rosales National park. Once we get to the national park where the Petrohue River Waterfalls are, you'll then embark on an easy walk with your guide to a pathway that leads to the falls. You will see waterfalls tumbling over a lip of volcanic rock, with waters turning beautiful shades of blue and green. Surrounded by a thick forest, the falls stand against the gorgeous backdrop of Osorno Volcano, making for amazing photo opportunities.

You will head back south to the town of Puerto Varas. Puerto Varas was colonized by German settlers and is known for its German traditions, beer seafood, natural scenery and luxurious hotels. This town is located on the shores of Llanquihue Lake and the perfect cone of Osorno Volcano and the snow-capped peaks of Mt. Calbuco and Mt Tronador are visible from the lakefront. You can enjoy having a German beer (madein Chile) or walking around town filled with fragrant roses and historical statues that represent the history and founding of the town. If you enjoy shopping for souvenirs to take back home or simply enjoy looking at the local crafts this is a great place to do it.

Booked our tour as a cruise excursion and unfortunately our ship was late in arriving affecting the length of the tour. The visit to Petrohue Waterfalls was excellent. During the bus transport Emily kept us well informed on the various locations of interest. She was personable and it was lovely to share the day with her.

We had Javiera from JV tours as our guide. She met us at the port exit as advertised. We were late as the shuttles were late because of rough seas but this presented no problem for them. She spoke excellent English and gave us tons of information. The empanadas we had for lunch were excellent. We had a lots of rain after the waterfalls part so our sightseeing was somewhat restricted but she did her best to show us the other two stops.

We got in late and they had to shorten trip and we missed what we wanted to see. It would have been better if they asked people snd then took them where they wanted to go and skipped what they didn't. Long wait on the bus waiting for all to arrive.

In spite of arriving many hours late due to rough seas we had a great tour in spite of having to miss the German village. Emily is a great tour guide who managed to take time to interact everyone.
Great introduction to the Porto Montt area and surrounding sights.

This was a shore excursion on our first cruise. We booked late so the cruises line options were sold out. We decided to roll the dice with Viatour and could not have been more pleased. The Tour operator had staff meet us almost as soon as we stepped off the boat so there was zero stress. The Tour stopped at all the highlights in the area including the amazing Falls, Our local guide was knowledgeable, personable and a great ambassador for southern Chile.

Well informed, excellent English speaking guide (Eric). Even though our ship was 4 hours plus late in docking the tour route was adjusted to ensure we were ahead of other tour operators to appreciate the places of interest at low occupancy.

We enjoyed this tour very much even though our cruise ship was late docking and time was short. Our guide Emily was excellent, so friendly and knowledgeable. The Petrohue Waterfalls were beautiful and the Orsano Volcano really does resemble Mount Fuji.

For this shore excursion, Our tour guide Chris was eager to make sure we had an excellent experience with limited time. Impressed that Chris and his driver Jorge always got our group to places ahead of the others. Chris then took a group photo and thoughtfully emailed a copy to each guest. Well done!
