Enjoy the best of southern Chile in this 6-hour excursion. A guide will meet you at your cruise port or hotel and take you on the excursion. This excursion includes entrance fee to go see the Petrohue Waterfalls and for lunch time you will enjoy a snack with two glasses of Chilean wine. This complete tour visits one of the first German towns in southern Chile, known as Frutillar. It also visits Puerto Varas, know as the city of roses and also the breathtaking Petrohue Waterfalls.

After your ship docks in Puerto Montt, you will ride onboard your air-conditioned private vehicle and begin your journey to Petrohue Waterfalls located in Vicente Perez Rosales National park. Once we get to the national park where the Petrohue River Waterfalls are, you'll then embark on an easy walk with your guide to a pathway that leads to the falls. You will see waterfalls tumbling over a lip of volcanic rock, with waters turning beautiful shades of blue and green. Surrounded by a thick forest, the falls stand against the gorgeous backdrop of Osorno Volcano, making for amazing photo opportunities.
You will head back south to the town of Puerto Varas. Puerto Varas was colonized by German settlers and is known for its German traditions, beer seafood, natural scenery and luxurious hotels. This town is located on the shores of Llanquihue Lake and the perfect cone of Osorno Volcano and the snow-capped peaks of Mt. Calbuco and Mt Tronador are visible from the lakefront. You can enjoy having a German beer (madein Chile) or walking around town filled with fragrant roses and historical statues that represent the history and founding of the town. If you enjoy shopping for souvenirs to take back home or simply enjoy looking at the local crafts this is a great place to do it.

5.00Book this trip. Half the price of HAL and twice as good. Great Guide, Ignacio. He was brilliant. Waterfalls, the Chilean Mount Fuji, a couple of other stops. Excellent value. And no worries finding the tour or getting back to board the MS Oosterdam. DO IT.

5.00GV Tours hammered HAL ship in terms of the value for money for this particular tour. Superb guide Ignacio who was as good as it gets. Cleverly planned trip to Falls first, followed by snack stop off, yum yum and interesting visits at Puerto Varas and Frutillar. They were always conscious of ship departure/ tenders so not worries or fears. Yes, this trip and GV Tours gets a big thumbs up from me. Bravo.

5.00Nice stops at water falls, towns on lake and great snacks. Emily our tour guide was fantastic. She was very enthusiastic and engaging. She walked with my wife to assist her with a little shopping. She also was great about taking the clients photos!!!! George the driver was also great. Thanks!! The only negative was that we had 4 people from our cruise ship were very late catching the boat tender to meet the tour. It was not GV’s fault , but it was very inconsiderate of the clients that were late, which we waited for.

4.00Petrohue waterfall is worth visiting. The driver Jorge is friendly and the guide Cony speaks good English. A short rest with some snack and drinks such as pisco sour was provided. One blemish was that the stay at Petrohue waterfall was a bit too rushed, possibly because the tour start was delayed by one hour. This was due to the wait for one party of four because of the excessive long wait for the cruise tender service. The tour operator sent us reminder and meeting info days before the tour start. Maybe in that email they can also remind tour participants about getting tender tickets earlier than later.

5.00GV tour guide Emily greeted us in front of the cruise terminal exit. The bus is nice and clean. Emily is a lovely college English student. She spent quite some time telling us about the local life. The water falls, volcanos and lake are attractive. We also have a empanada and a cup of wine for snack. We all enjoyed this tour very much!

5.00We are so grateful to have Cony as our tour guide. We reached the port almost 40min late due to the tender limited operation. She waited for us. She speaks English fluently. The driver who served us homemade empanadas with great drinks by the lake. We were so touched by their heart filled service. I highly recommend joining this tour.

5.00Thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Ignacio. Beautiful scenery and a wonderful roadside snack with wine. Just enough time in Puerto Varas and Fruitillar where we enjoyed delicious cake from the German bakery overlooking the lake.
