On our arrival to the Caves Branch site, we gear up with helmets, waterproof headlamps, and of course, our inner tubes and lifevests. We take a flat 45 minute hike through the jungle before entering one of the many cave entrances and passages that make up the cave system. We hop in the water in our tubes and float through the three cave passages. The river meanders in and out of the caves system and we are carried along by its current to another world. Floating downstream through the cave passages we learn about the geology and ancient history of the limestone cave system. We also learn about the Maya culture and the indigenous inhabitants of the area who have used the caves for ceremonial purposes for thousands of years.

5.00We spent half our time in Belize in San Ignacio and did all our tours with MayaWalk. I prefer finding one company that can do it all—from airport transfers to cave tubing/ zip lining, and horseback riding to Xunantunich—and MayaWalk delivered. We’re a family of five with kids ages 20, 21, and 12, and every tour was engaging, fun, and perfect for all ages. Our guides and drivers deserve a special shout-out—they were truly outstanding. Fun, knowledgeable, engaging, and constantly sharing insight about Belizean history, culture, wildlife, and native plants along the way. You could tell they loved their jobs, and it made every experience even better. I debated between ATM and cave tubing and chose cave tubing, thinking I might be “settling,” but I was absolutely wrong—it was incredible! Their team was also so accommodating when I needed to switch plans, and everything felt tailored and never rushed. Don’t be discouraged if the website says a tour’s max capacity is 60—MayaWalk keeps a great guide-to-guest ratio (usually around 1:6), so tours feel personal and tailored. Our tours ended up being just our family. Highly, highly recommend MayaWalk!

5.00Our tour guide Eddy was awesome! Super nice, accommodating and knowledgeable. We first did a Mayan ruin tour and then went cave tubing with him. He was super safe, reliable and would recommend anyone who is hesitant to book to do it and request Eddy as their tour guide! The tubing was fun even though the water was a little cold! We walked inside of ancient caves and floated the river and cave while it rained. So cool!

5.00I had the great pleasure of going on a half-day tubing tour guided by Ed to Nohoch Che’en cave. I joined up with Ed and a lovely young couple after they had what sounded like an amazing tour of Xunantanich since I’d already done a tour of the site two days earlier. After the entertaining drive to Frank Eddy’s village, my tour started with a wonderful lunch at Sungem Restaurant before we heading out on our hike through the woods around Jaguar Paw. Though it rained heavily, Ed’s sense of humor and joie de vie made the hike quite enjoyable! As we made our way down the Caves Branch River, Ed’s knowledge and amiable personality overflowed effortlessly. He gave us a very informed and to borrow his signature phrases “unBelizeable” tour of the cave, never failing to put our safety and well-being at the top of his concerns—“you better Belize it!” This was the third tour I booked with MayaWalk tours in the last two weeks, and I would (and have) highly recommend them to any and all interested in a truly unique and authentic experience with first-class service and guidance! I am already looking forward to my return trip and bringing friends and family down to get a taste of true Belizean hospitality and adventure!

5.00Our family (kids ages 8 and 10) had an awesome time! Jaser and Eric took great care of us. The cave was more beautiful that I could have imagined or than the photos can really show. Jaser took us to some parts that were more remote and stunning. We had time to jump into the water and play in some narrow areas. I would highly recommend!

ALEX was the kind of guide that gave us so much info, took care of our every need and even stopped by our resort on the way back bc my friend needed Benadryl for her bug bites and I needed help opening a rum bottle! Haha! I recommend this company 1000%! Choose them and go with ALEX! He’s the very best!

5.00We had an incredible day Cave Tubing in Nohoch-Cheen caves! Our tour guide Ediando was beyond excellent! He made sure to give our family the experience of a lifetime. We not only explored the caves but took it further to get out of the tubes and climb on and swim in a secluded area of the caves! We learned so much history today from him and he made our tour very pleasant and enjoyable. Our driver Irvin was excellent - very informative on the country's history, people and agriculture. We would highly recommend this duo for your travel and tour needs! Thank you! It was unBELIEZEABLE!

5.00This was hands down my favorite tour out of San Ignacio! Fantastic guide with a good balance between providing information and allowing periods of silence for guests to relax while tubing. Very nice lunch at a local restaurant at the end of the tour!
If you only can do one tour in Belize, this is it!!

5.00This tour was the highlight of my trip to Belize! Our Guide, Edeoni, was wonderful! He brought the Mayan culture/history to life with stories full of facts that gave us a picture of life in the Mayan culture along with the wildlife of the area! Having a Howler monkey scream from a tree over my head gave me a clear understanding of why their voice was used for the T Rex in Jurassic park!! He took us on tubes through a cave showing us everything from stalagmites/stalactites to tiny creatures living in total darkness. Our driver, Jaheem, was very willing to answer questions also and was a skilled driver so I felt safe on the bus. We stopped at a local restaurant for lunch which was very good and came back to our room exhausted but so pleased with the adventure! Definitely a must do experience!!
