5.00Our full day excursion was exhilarating. It was one of the best things we did on our Tahitian cruise and vacation. We had booked a number of excursions and was just expecting an average snorkel. That was not the case. This was an unforgettable experience. It had also rained heavily the day before and was cloudy overhead so we can only imagine how much better it would have been if the water had been clearer. We had 4 snorkel stops. Chris,our guide, was constantly spotting wildlife and pointing them out to us. We had stops to see manta rays, spotted eagle rays, sharks and sting rays, and amazing coral. We were having trouble keeping up because the current was strong and our masks kept having issues while visiting the coral. Chris had us hang on to his life saving ring then and we paddled together. The coral was some of the best we’ve ever seen. Next we zoomed over the lagoon that had bathrooms! , swings and places to relax. While we ate a sumptuous Polynesian buffet, Chris wove us coconut leaf headbands. After eating we all worked on making purses out of the leaves together. When the time was up, we zoomed back to our pick up point. We went back to our cruise where SOOO many were envious of our headbands and wanted to know where we got them!!! (Thanks, Chris!) Just a note. If you haven’t exercised in months, this may not be the right fit. It requires some energy. That being said, we are 79 and exercise for strength every day. We loved this trip. All the best Chris, you gave us a grand adventure😍
