FOOD STOP- Guavate is a famous mountain area in Cayey known as the heart of Puerto Rico’s lechón tradition. This scenic stop offers a true local atmosphere, surrounded by lush mountains and lively roadside eateries called lechoneras. At La Lechonera Los Amigos, guests enjoy authentic Puerto Rican roasted pork (lechón asado), slow-roasted over open fire and served with classic sides. 5.00⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a wonderful day in Ponce with Nativo Tours and our guide, Fabian! He made the whole experience feel easy, fun, and very personal. You can tell he really loves what he does, he shared so much about the culture and history, but in a way that felt natural and interesting, not overwhelming. What I appreciated most was how thoughtful and genuine he was. He made sure we were comfortable, enjoying every stop, and really getting the most out of the day. It felt less like a tour and more like exploring with a friend who truly knows and loves Puerto Rico. Highly recommend Nativo Tours and Fabian if you want a meaningful and memorable experience in Ponce!

5.00We had an incredible experience touring with Fabian on our visit to Ponce. The day before the tour, he personally called us to ask about our interest and then adjusted the itinerary to fit what we wanted to see. That level of attention made the experience feel very personal. We mentioned that we would love to visit a coffee farm. Even though it wasn’t originally part of the tour, Fabian happily coordinated a stop so that we could see one. We really enjoyed the informative tour of the coffee farm Throughout the day, he shared his knowledge of Puerto Rico‘s culture and history and we visited many beautiful places. The stop in Guavate for traditional, roasted pork was absolutely amazing. It was easily some of the best food we had during our trip! We enjoyed the experience so much that we decided to book another tour with him the following day to explore Arecibo. On that tour, we visited beautiful waterfalls , stunning beaches and took a long walk by a lighthouse with an incredible ocean view. Fabian is passionate and truly goes above and beyond to create memorable experiences. If you’re looking for a flexible and authentic way to explore Puerto Rico, we highly recommend touring with Fabian.
