Pico do Arieiro
Our first stop is Pico do Arieiro, standing proud at 1,818 meters. As we wind our way up, you’ll feel the excitement building—once at the top, the views are nothing short of spectacular! Take in the sweeping panoramas, snap some photos, and breathe in the fresh mountain air.
Ribeiro Frio
We’ll descend into the tiny, picturesque village of Ribeiro Frio. Here, you can stretch your legs with a leisurely levada walk through a Laurissilva forest. This lush, green paradise is home to a variety of birdlife, so keep your eyes peeled for the friendly firecrest and the colourful chaffinch—they’re often hanging about.

5.00We had a great tour with Roberto he was very knowledgable & certainly knows his stuff about the flora & fauna of Madeira, it was a fun day out seeing the beautiful island of Madeira which Roberto clearly loves & cares about deeply. His electric Mercedes is very comfortable clean & quite. We had a great day with Roberto & will definitely re book with him on our return to Madeira. Highly recommend .

5.00Don't hesitate to do this tour with Roberto, his knowledge of the island is second to none. The electric 8 seater was just perfect, you hear what he was saying with no engine noise. His passion is palpable and you get to see and feel the island. A full day with pick up and drop off - worth every penny.
Madeira is the Garden of Eden. In fact anything can grow on the island. Roberto certainly has a passion for plants

5.00A huge Thankyou to our guide and driver Roberto who took us to both the east and west side of the island. So knowledgeable and friendly we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. The electric mini bus was so quiet inside and we were able to hear clearly about the various locations and history and culture of the island. Roberto certainly has an in depth knowledge of the wildlife, flora and fauna. We can highly recommend the tours with Roberto for a truly individual experience.

5.00The day was perfect ! We were collected from our hotel by Roberto and transported in comfort in an electric vehicle. Roberto is a very friendly, funny and knowledgeable guide. I especially liked his information on the local horticulture. One day will will return to do his West side tour.

5.00We were lucky with the weather and had clear views of some spectacular scenery. Roberto was a passionate guide who loved life and especially life in Madeira. He timed everything well to beat the coaches to the common spots. Excellent communication before the tour, he even picked us up near our cruise ship port. An eco friendly electric car was icing on the cake!

5.00In October, we had a one week holiday in Madeira, and one of the highlights was a full-day excursion to the eastern side of the island with Madeira Electric Tours. Our guide, Roberto, made the experience exceptional from start to finish. The tour was conducted in a luxury 8-seater electric Mercedes people carrier. Roberto was incredibly adaptable—he adjusted the route and commentary on the fly to avoid crowds and make the most of changing weather conditions. Unlike larger tour operators who stick rigidly to a script, Roberto’s independence allowed for a much more personal and flexible experience. He has a great sense of humour and knew just when to lighten the mood. Roberto also engaged with locals along the way, which made us feel more connected to the island and its culture. He pointed out the different fruits growing in the trees and shared fascinating insights about the local flora and fauna. No time was wasted during the tour—Roberto made sure that even the drives between attractions were interesting, pointing out views and sharing stories as we traveled. His ability to anticipate busy spots meant we arrived before the crowds, making each stop more enjoyable. We highly recommend Madeira Electric Tours for anyone looking for a memorable and personalized way to explore the island!

Roberto, our guide, was outstanding—his deep knowledge of Madeira’s natural beauty, heritage, and agriculture added so much depth to the experience. He was respectful, helpful, and made us feel completely at ease throughout the day.
