National Museum of Ethiopia

Visit the National Museum, the home of the famous Lucy which is ranked one of the most important museum collections in Sub-Saharan Africa. You will tour of the museum including archeological artifacts discovered here in Ethiopia, Ethiopian artwork, and displays of traditional Ethiopian weapons, jewelry, clothing, and musical instruments.

    Beki was very punctual, informative and enthusiaistic. He helped me plan other tours around Ethiopia which were well taken care of. Overall the experience was very good.

    What an excellent tour. Becky and his driver Reta were friendly, professional and patient. I was running alittle late after a long flight but they were very helpful and patient as we drove and walked the city. We covered a lot of ground efficiently and visited various museums, shops and restaurants etc and I found a few new food favorites that I need to incorporate. Becky’s knowledge of the culture and significance of Ethiopia on the world was vast and he provided great detail abut the walkable city, the tourism, future projects, etc. you get to see the nicer parts and the nitty markets. He is proud of his culture and it shows. He took his time and I appreciated that. This tour is great for all ages, solo travelers or groups.

    We had a fantastic Addis Ababa city tour with Beki. It was very comprehensive, taking us to museums, churches, and great local restaurants. Beki was professional, informative, and a pleasure to tour with. Highly recommended!

    I had an excellent day tour of addis Ababa covering the National Museum, the Ethnology Museum , Entoto Hills , Merkato. The day was made enjoyable by knowledgeable inputs and commentaries by Beki , my guide for the day . through him i got valuable insights into Ethiopian history , culture and daily life. i particularly enjoyed the making of Injera and the sharing of it with fellow travellers Entoto. I would recommend East african Tours and Beki to anyone looking to spend an interesting day in Addis Ababa.

    It was a great day and in the few hours that we had together with the guide Mr Beki learnt a lot about Ethiopian history , culture and religion . Thanks for his valuable commentary. One of The highlights of the tour was the making of injera in an authentic setting in Entoto and the sharing with fellow travellers . Keep up the good work . i will certainly recommend this company and the guide to anyone looking for a fulfilling day trip . Best regards

Highlights included visiting the National Museum to see Lucy, exploring the vibrant Mercato Market, and enjoying breathtaking views from Mount Entoto.     East Africa Tour Operator - Beki is a fantastic tour guide ! His knowledge of everything inside the museum, the history of Ethiopia and friendliness was super. We enjoyed making Injera (Ethiopian flat bread) and he gave us all the experiences we hoped for and more. He was flexible as well to accommodate some changes in the schedule needed. I would recommend using them. We were ladies only and felt safe all the time. Also, if you only have one day, this is a fantastic way to experience Addis Ababa. THANK YOU SO MUCH
