La Huaca del Sol
The huacas of Moche or called Temlos sol y luna are truncated pyramids of around 2000 years old, where they dazzle with their polychrome interiors, highlighting the image of the main god in high relief and in addition to impressing the imposing external façade of 27 meters high by an average of 100 meters wide, 100% polychrome and in good condition. On this tour we enter the Huaca de la Luna to appreciate the beauty of the original polychrome friezes and in turn you will have a tour guide who will explain everything about the designs, colors and construction of these adobe pyramids.

With our vehicle we will enter the historic center with colorful mansions from the 16th century. Walking around this city is simply remembering and returning to the past of the colony in our city. 5.00I loved that they can actually enter Salaverry port. It was so easy to get off the ship and board the vehicle. Rocío Reyna gave us a very informative tour. Chan Chan was the highlight of the day.

5.00Very impressive Inca ruins, Temples of the Moon and Sun. These excavations are extremely well preserved and thankfully have lots of overhead protection from the punishing sun. The walking paths are very accessible and the ruins are extensive. Our tour guide was well informed and entertaining, the bus was comfortable and the driver was like a surgeon. Afterwards, we went to the local seaside and had lunch at what was probably one of the city's best restaurants, with a lovely view of the water. The surrounding areas illustrate the vast difference between rich and poor in Latin countries, so we felt we were in very good hands with our tour guide and driver. If you want to see this part of the World, this would be our recommendation for your local hosts.

5.00Wilmer was our most excellent tour guide and his passion for Peru’s cultural history was very apparent. We visited the temple of the moon after a drive by of the temple of the sun, visited Trujillo’s plaza de armas, and toured Chan Chan, then finished off the tour eating lunch and enjoying pisco sours at huanchaco beach! If you want a lot of value and cover a lot of ground in one day, book this tour!

5.00Dilser was an incredible guide. He was both personable and knowledgeable. All of the stops were appropriate in length. We were traveling with a cruise ship and this option was for a smaller sized group than what the ship offered. That made everything much better. It was also great that the van picked us up on the pier, meaning that we did not have to wait in line for the mandatory shuttle to get out of the industrial shipping terminal. Highly recommended!
