Start the tour after being picked up from the Albufeira area. First historical visit is the old Moorish capital of Silves, with its amazing castle and well preserved cathedral and learn about its history. From Silves we continue our journey toward the Monchique mountains, this by roads where the big buses can’t go and therefore possible to enjoy amazing views over the Algarve’s coastline and Monchique’s beautiful nature. Next visit is the historical city Lagos, from where the Portuguese age of discovery began under the command of prince Henry the navigator. Here you have various options like lunch, visiting museums or just exploring its old town and admiring the historical sites. In the afternoon we continue our journey towards Cape Saint Vincent also known as the End of the World before the discovery of the new world. This is the most south western tip of our mainland Europe where you can enjoy amazing views of the beautiful cliffs where land meets the Atlantic ocean.

This all day tour of the Algarve is a not to be missed gem. There is lots of interesting information given about the area and the guests are also given free time to explore on their own- a nice balance between guided and independent travel. Our tour guide Andre was very fluent in English and did a wonderful job of switching from English for the majority of the guests and speaking in Spanish for 2 of the guests on the tour. We highly recommend this tour with Andre.

Brilliant experience well organised with our great tour guide Benny. We had a great day. A good way to see some lovely sites. Benny's historical knowledge was immense. We were also picked up and dropped off at our hotel which was a huge bonus.

Our guide, Benny, was a wealth of historical knowledge explained with a great sense of humor! The tour is long, but Benny keeps you engaged the entire trip! Highly recommended if you are interested in the history of Portugal and the Algarve!

The guide/driver was very knowledgeable and ready to share it. Very nice trip with a bit of everything - history, geography, local customs, ... The van was a bit aged. Would recommend 100%. Pickup was on time and everything went by the clock. He even added a little extra stop at the end.
