We had a wonderful full day trip visiting Yorktown and Jamestown with our guide Matt who was born and bred in the area. Matt's knowledge was exceptional and also well presented. All of the places we visited were very interesting and a lovely lunch was included in the tour.

Matt was a great guide even with the 98° heat and changes to the itinerary. The colonial lunch of Brunswick Stew was amazing even during the heat wave.

The tour was fantastic. Matt (and Sara) were very informative and made to the day-long excursion exciting. The tour visited Jamestown and Yorktown where Matt provided useful historical tidbits along with some humor. The bus ride was great, the stops were nice (to include the personal time to roam) which added to the tour. Lunch was provided in the Jamestown settlement cafe. This is a day long trip but well worth the money. Highly recommend this one

This was beyond expectations. Very much worth it, no questions asked! Our Guide Team was Matt and his daughter, Sarah. If you can arrange to have Matt (and Sarah), please do, but I'd imagine all from their organization are great. With Matt, we had our very own history teacher. He is soft spoken, calm, humorous, and above all, VERY, VERY well educated overall, but especially on this period. You will learn about life, from the original permanent colony in Jamestown, through the war, the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and beyond. We saw many notable sites including the embankment / fort of the final battle (Cornwallis vs. Geo Washington), the actual home where the surrender was signed, ships the original settlers would have traveled on, types of encampments and forts, Native American encampments, and SOOOO much more. I know I'm missing some other important things, but you probably get the drift of this tour, DANG GREAT! We are already planning a re-do, but with our kids this time. Thanks Matt and thanks Sarah. You made this GREAT!
