This is The Historic Triangle Tour. Travel with a local back in time and also in chronological order. We will spend the first part of our day in the 1600's and the second half in the 1700's. This is where the country began, you will see and learn history from a local. We start our day at Jamestown, the beginning 1607 with a guided tour. Our lunch stop will be next at the cafe which is owned by a local restaurant where we will have an included meal which can be colonial style if preferred. After lunch we travel into the 1700's with a battlefield tour and finishing up at the Revolutionary War Museum.

Jamestown Settlement
Jamestown is where the English arrived in 1607. We will learn about 1600's history in the first part of our day. We will have a 1 hour guided tour and 1 hour of free time.

Lunch will be at the cafe which is owned by a local family restaurant where we can have a colonial style meal or a more traditional meal if desired. Dietary options are available

1.00Booked weeks in advance, our tour was canceled last minute via e-mail with no explanation. Since it’s last minute all other tours are already booked for the time we are here! Very frustrating.

5.00Great tour with Matt! He is so personable, remembers everyone's name and tries to involve everyone at some point during the tour. He is very knowledgeable about the area and shares that information throughout the tour. He adds his own personal story, gives you a different perspective of visiting a museum and is very attentive. I was hesitant to book this tour because i though it would just be a long day and only visiting museums. And yes it was a long day but it was well worth it. And yes we did visit museums but he toured you through a portion of it and then gave some free time to explore on our own. It was great to visit both locations in 1 days and get a taste for spots you might be interested in revisiting.

5.00This was an excellent all day tour. Our guide was Matt, and I can't say enough about this excellent guide. He was funny and made history so interesting. He especially engaged the younger members of our tour, which I'm sure made them feel special. I would highly recommend asking for Matt if you're interested in this tour! We saw so many different historical museum artifacts and outdoor attractions. It's hard to believe we saw so much in one day!

5.00The tour was 9 hours but passed quickly due to Matt’s clever delivery, his interaction with everyone in our group, and his personal connection to the area. Matt has a wealth of knowledge to share. From the moment he spoke he had us hooked and anticipating the rest of the story. Consequently, people didn’t want to miss what he was saying so we could hear and understand everything he said. Matt made this an exceptional tour! If you are undecided, you must go!

5.00The tour was great! Very informative…. Matt was fantastic. He was engaging, organized and very interactive. I attended with my son and he was very engaging and answering all questions we had. Customer service seems to be a lost art these days but Matt had it down to a science! I really appreciated this tour!

5.00I’ll start by saying Matt is a phenomenal tour guide. Top notch , great guy. He’s a local and knows the area. I personally would have loved for Matt to take us around to all the historical sites. This tour itself is basically visiting 2 liberal museums with lunch at the first museum. That takes over 8 hours .Now if that’s your thing then you will love this tour. Otherwise my suggestion is to visit the national park museums on your own in Jamestown and Yorktown. The park services will give you a tour. The big fancy museums is all you will see and you will miss out on so much.
