An excellent tour for getting to know the background of the region and the country. The tour was very comfortable and the tour guide Mark did a great job on telling the stories of their heritage. Lunch was also very good and part of the package.

Mark our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and managed to save our trip to Tacloban. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Tacloban. He was more knowledgeable than most of the guides in the places we stopped and went out of this way to accommodate our requests. We enjoyed the restaurant as well. If you have the resources available, consider flying into Tacloban and participating in the tour. Avoid the van ride from Ormoc to Tacloban. It was nothing but trouble. This, however, has nothing to do with this tour or the guide.

Ms. Loudette, the travel coordinator, was prompt in providing the tour details. Kuya Larry, our tour guide, was very professional and clearly well-trained. He knew his material exceptionally well and was able to answer all my questions during the tour. It was also a bonus that he’s a local—he shared insightful and personal stories that enriched our experience. The tour wasn’t just educational; it also gave me and my friend space to reflect on many things—from Imelda’s ill-gotten wealth, to the richness of Filipino culture and faith, the impact of Typhoon Haiyan, and the complexities of our history with the US. And the lunch was good!!!

Jeff did a great job as our guide. The tour of Tacloban was very informative. He also gave us additional background on two areas of interest - the 2013 typhoon and WWII.

Seeing the MacArthur Memorial at the landing site was the highlight of my trip. It was closed for repairs but my guide and company arranged for me to gain access to the construction site to see the memorial. I had chill bumps.

Interesting tour: beautiful churches, historical place, quaint towns, picturesque scenery. Each place tells a story of a people we we havn't heard of before. The "Yolanda story" created an impact to me personally. I was moved when we visited the cathedral. And I was amazed to see the collection of Imelda Marcos at the Sto. Nino Shrine and Heritage Museum.
