Hluhluwe–Umfolozi Game Reserve, is the oldest proclaimed nature reserve in Africa. It consists of 960 km² of hilly topography 280 kilometres north of Durban in central KwaZulu-Natal.

This is the best of the African bush where you suddenly come accross a lion, a herd of elephants, giraffes, zebras, rhino, buffaloes, and much more. So many different type indigenous trees and birds.

Hluhluwe - iMfolozi Park Wilderness Area

We depart from Durban at 6am and head of to Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve. This is a 3 and half hour drive. We arrive at 9.30am. On arrival in Hluhluwe Game Reserve, you transfer into a 4 x 4 game drive vehicle. In the game drive you are likely to see a very wide range of animals such as elephants, lions, giraffe, rhino, buffalo, kudu, zebra, and much more.
