What To Expect
Major Marine Tours
This 7.5 Hour Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise departs daily at 9:30 a.m. and returns at 5:00 p.m. The cruise will travel approximately 130 miles roundtrip through Resurrection Bay into Kenai Fjords National Park. Since this cruise does go out into the open Gulf of Alaska it is not recommended for anyone who is prone to motion sickness. Our half-day Resurrection Bay cruises are much better options if motion sickness is a concern.

5.00What a day! Can’t rave enough about the crew and the captain. Friendly, helpful and overall lovely staff. Captain was pleasant and informative. Lunch was surprisingly good and we appreciated the hot coffee throughout the day, as well as the binoculars we were able to use. We saw humpbacks, puffins, orcas, bald eagles, sea lions, sea otter, kettlewikes (sp?), Dall porpoises- and a glacier calving! Weather didn’t cooperate and it was very rainy and cold on the decks. Rough seas made several passengers seasick. Take Dramamine! Even if you think you won’t need it. One final note- dress warm and be prepared for rain. The cabin is heated but the doors open frequently for passengers moving in and out of the cabin and it was very chilly inside.

5.00Very kid friendly tour and they allow plenty of time for viewing glaciers and also wildlife. There were a lot of stops to view different kinds of wildlife and the captain and crew were very knowledgable. The toilets were clean and they also have complimentary binoculars available. They also have a junior deckhand activity for kids, which is great to keep them engaged.

5.00Excellent tour! We saw so much wildlife, whales, bear, mountain goats, seals, sea lions. The Captain and staff were amazing and gave plenty of opportunities for everyone to see the wildlife. Communication was excellent. We were concerned about making it back to our ship in time and they actually called our ship and had a bus waiting to take us to our ship! Incredible. Best customer service on any excursion we’ve been on.

5.007.5 hour tour. Saw Humpbacks whales breaching, fin whales, orcas, puffins, sea lions, otters. Tour went to two glaciers and saw huge chunks calving off the glaciers. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bathrooms on board and served lunch. You can bring your own food and snacks also. Has assigned seating inside the heated cabin. Plenty of room inside and outside. Gets a little cold with the ocean and wind so come layered if you plan spending time outside.
