  We toured the west and east of Madeira over 2 days with Christophe seeing the best of the island while having great fun along the way! Christophe communicates well, gives you plenty of information, brings you to places off the beaten track and adds his own humor to add to the adventure. Would definitely recommend hiring Christophe to tour Madeira!

  Our guide Christophe was passionate and knowledgeable about every aspect of the island. We enjoyed the small group of 3 experience seeing key spots along the north and south. The jeep was comfortable and a great way to view the surrounding landscape. We learned so much and had so much fun! Muito obrigada!

  We had a great and rich tour of western Madeira with Christophe, our dedicated and knowledgeable driver and guide. We also booked him for a separate tour on the east side where he arranged the trip completely according to our wishes! He gives the little extra that makes the tours memorable.   Island Explorer went above and beyond to meet our needs. Very personal service. Great communication via WhatsApp messages and calls ahead of our visit. They were very accomodating. Our full day tour out of our cruise ship with Mauricio was outstanding. Simply, above and beyond expectations. We did a great route, great explanations. Good insights as to local’s perspective. Great views and places visited. Very good driver, vehicle and amenable. Muito obrigado

  We were 5 girls and spent a full day on a day tour in Madiera and it was easily the highlight of our trip! A huge shoutout to our guide, Christof (Tito), who was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many interesting insights we never would have found on our own. What really set Tito apart was his sense of humor—he kept the energy high and the group laughing all day long.   Awesome experience by very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and trustworthy guide Christophe. We learned so much about Madeira, the history , culture and botany. Christophe adapted the tour to suit our preferences and interests. I think this would make equally a fun tour for young friends (off roading and standing up in jeep) or a more informative tour ( and still fun!) trip for older customers. It was great, exciting day and we felt safe at all times. The West tour was so good we went again on an East tour and asked Christophe to find a beautiful quiet levada for us to try . It was brilliant. I dont often write reviews but these two days were the best of our 2 week holiday. It is easy to communicate with Christophe by what’s app and easy and affordable to arrange your perfect day .

  We had a really great 2 days with Christophe. We booked the full day Madeira tour then went on to do a tour of the East on another day.   Just had an amazing day with Christophe. We got to see so much in one day - despite some interesting weather! What a friendly guy and so informative. Felt as if we were friends travelling together. Great fun, great conversation and a great day!

The off‑road sections were unforgettable. Bouncing through eucalyptus forests felt like nature’s own rollercoaster, thrilling and safe, with sweeping views and hidden spots we would never have found alone. What really sets the day apart is Christophe himself. Friendly, funny, and incredibly attentive; he tailors the experience beautifully and makes you feel like you are exploring with a friend who knows all the island’s secrets. By the end of the day, we had seen breathtaking landscapes, learned so much, and created memories that will stay with us for a long time. This was not just a tour. It was the experience of our trip.
