Departing from Te Anau, travel in a small group (maximum 15 people) along the scenic Milford Road through the heart of Fiordland National Park. Your local driver/guide will share their knowledge and entertaining stories along the may. On reaching Milford Sound enjoy a 2-hour small boat cruise to the Tasman Sea. With excellent viewing opportunities and plenty of time to enjoy the waterfalls, rainforest, mountains and wildlife. Exploring on foot with a walk in Fiordland is a must, even if it is only a few hundred meters. We stop often to ensure you won't miss a thing! Enjoy a series of short guided walks and scenic photo stops on the journey. Lots of opportunities are made for you to experience this natural wonderland with all your senses. Hike in a the range of different environments, from lush forests to magnificent alpine areas carved by glaciers long ago and discover the native birds, such as the cheeky kea. We will tailor the day to the weather and seasonal highlights to ensure your day makes the most of this incredible world heritage area.

5.00Jacob was our tour guide for the day and was informative and helpful. We enjoyed our whole day. The drive to Milford Sound was just a spectacular as the boat ride on the sound. Jacob gave everyone plenty of time to enjoy all the sights.

5.00Our trip to Milford sound was well worth the money, Milford Sound from Te Anau is the only way to go gives you the time to take it all in and see things on the way and way back, a small group and Geoff our driver was perfect, Geoff was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humer so kept things light and enjoyable. Trips and Tramps were great and very professional pick up and drop off and they fed us too what more do you need, we highly recommend them and if we return for a different tour would go straight back to them.

5.00There aren’t enough superlatives to fully describe this day trip to Milford Sound. Hosted by our amazing guide, Phil who knew just how to pitch his commentary and support, this was a truly unforgettable experience. His enthusiasm, expertise and insight added to the natural wonder of the surroundings. Honestly, we could not recommend Trips and Tramps, and especially Phil, more highly.

5.00We just returned from our day out to Milford Sound. The whole day was fantastic from the pick up by Phil from Trips and Tramps to our return. Phil was an outstanding host and tour guide. We enjoyed every part of the day. The cruise was amazing. We will definitely recommend to any friends who may happen to be here in the future from England. Janet and Paul

5.00My wife and I had a great experience with Trips & Tramps in all regards. Clear communications in advance. Great driver - Ben was fun, thoughtful, personable, and considerate for everyone in our group. He was a good driver, safety oriented, and knowledgeable in answering everyone’s questions. Lunches were really good. Everything was on time. Dinner recommendation was bang on, too. Top notch experience.

5.00great way to see Fiord and take in portion of one of island’s most popular tracks. Water was gushing out all over. Pod of bottlenose dolphins. Our guide, Helen, was interesting,knowledgeable and generous.

5.00Jeff was an excellent and informative host. We enjoyed the opportunity for a few short walks and had a fabulous cruise in Milford Sound. Lunch was great. Length of time was perfect. I’m so glad we stayed 2 nights in Te Anua rather than trying to commute from Queenstown!

5.00Great way to see Milford sound. It was nice to look out the window and not have to concentrate on driving. Our driver Jacob provided us with some good information on the drive over. Milford Sound is amazing. Lunch was also very good.
