Pululahua Volcano & Geobotanical Reserve
Our Mindo Cloud Forest Day Tour begins at 8:00 AM in Quito as we journey northwest through the Pichincha Province, experiencing a variety of climatic zones along the way. Our first stop will be at the Pululahua Volcano, where we will enjoy a panoramic view of the majestic crater. Here, we can observe a diverse range of native plants, including bromeliads, orchids, and several medicinal species.
San Tadeo Birding
Would you like to feed hummingbirds from your hands? This is the perfect place for that! You'll also encounter toucans and tanagers at the feeders. Agoutis, squirrels, orchids, and bromeliads are all part of this amazing experience. Be sure to bring binoculars and a camera with a good zoom.

5.00The best experience in Pichincha depto north of Quito, the guide 100 points, knowledge, regional food, walks in the forest and waterfalls, the park of hummingbirds, and the orchids... without words. All the time needed to live every experience. He also records you and takes pictures, super original, to show your friends. And the explanation in the chocolate farm, the tasting, the moisturizing mask, MUST, without words!

5.00We had a fantastic day traveling to Mindo. Our guide, Pato, was first-rate. Incredibly knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of Ecuador as well as its history and culture. He was attentive, relaxed and just made the whole day fun. We made several stops all of which were unique and beautiful. The hummingbird watching was exceptional and the hike to the waterfall was demanding but rewarding. Pato stopped at a fabulous restaurant for lunch after which we visited a butterfly farm where we had the opportunity for gorgeous pictures. We all felt it was the best guided daytrip we have ever experienced and we travel quite a bit. Don’t hesitate!

5.00Carolina was a spectacular host for our trip to Mindo. She gave us a great glimpse into the cloud forest and all of its animals. Carolina and our driver, Lenin, tailored the trip to our interests and we got to see a Toucan, Capybara, Butterflies, and many many Hummingbirds! They were flexible and accommodating and we would recommend this trip to anyone!

5.00One of the best experiences we have had - our tour guide Pato is friendly and has immense expertise on vast variety of topics such as nature, culture and history. He is flexible and takes your opinion into account and is ready to change plans if needed. We had such great time seeing different animals and landscapes and meeting wonderful people on our way to Mindo forest and back. I would highly recommend his tours and this kinds of experiences is one of the reasons I will come back to Ecuador to see & learn more! Thank you Pato for an amazing day!

5.00A full day tour to Mindo rainforest with Pato from ‘Ecuador a color’. A fabulous day in all respects. Who would’ve thought that in one day we could’ve fed hummingbirds out of our hand, walked in the rainforest to a beautiful waterfall, seen the lovely Mindo volcanic crater, seen how chocolate is made and viewed hundreds of different orchids. A superb and knowledgeable guide, a lovely guy with an excellent car. Strongly recommend recommended.

5.00100% recommend. Excellent trip and excellent guide Pat. On the drive he found out what i liked and tailored the trip to suit me. Very knowledgable amd passionate ate nature and the birdlife. Went to hummingbirds- waterfall and hike- beautiful orchid house and chocolate production tour. A must do tour with Pat

5.00Wasn't sure what to expect on this tour that included feeding hummingbirds. Expectations exceeded by a big margin! We were able to identify over 25 different species of hummingbird and feeding them from my hand was awesome! My guide, Pame, and driver, Eduardo, were fantastic and I'd travel with them again any day. Highly recommend!

5.00I had a great time a in the Mindo cloud forest. I was able to feed hummingbirds by hand and I even saw a toucan. I then went chocolate tasting and got a lunch in Mindo that was amazing
