  In late May 2026, I took a tour with Ecuador a Color and could not be any more pleased. The places we visited were beautiful, not crowded with tourists, and represented what I felt was the true essence of the Ecuadorian countryside outside of the environs of Quito. We visited a wonderful bird sanctuary, butterfly conservatory, forest / jungle with waterfalls, among other very interesting / non-commercialized locales. My guide was Galindo and I highly recommend him for your tours. Knowledgeable, engaging, well informed and a good guy for great conversation!

  I had the best trip to Mindo with Pato! What a fantastic guide. Knowledgeable about all aspects of the region and Ecuador in general. Wonderful visits to see hummingbirds, birds, and butterflies. Lots of orchids too! Great waterfall hike and fantastic lunch stop. I like that all visits were to locally owned and operated businesses. Pato’s English is superb and his driving is top notch. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to go to the Mindo cloud forest.

  This is a full day experience with a great mix of sights and activities. This is a great way to get out of the city and see the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains and forests and get close to the wonderful hummingbirds and butterflies native to the area. Ismael was very knowledgeable and flexible in adjusting the itinerary to my interest. I found that the driving time was well occupied by a very interesting conversation with Ismael that provided me with many insights to life in Ecuador as well as the sights we were seeing. This made the tour an excellent introduction to the country on a much broader scale than I expected. I finished the day with a very good impression of Ecuador as well as good recommendations for activities to be pursued thereafter. All in all a great tour to get a feel of the nature of the area but the highlight was all background knowledge and cultural information gleaned from my conversations with the guide.

  Pamela and William were excellent guide and driver Pamela provided history of Ecuador and showed us the beauty of the cloud forest

  The trip was marvelous. Carolina was an excellent guide, extremely knowledgeable, supplemented her information with photos, maps and other supplemental material. She clearly lives her country and her job. She made sure we were safe, comfortable and well cared for. We did a short hike to a waterfall but the climb back up was a bit strenuous for some in our group, especially at altitude. She encouraged rest, water and made them feel good about the hike. Eduardo was our driver and he did an outstanding job as well

  The trip was excellent. All four of us agree that our tour guide, Carolina, took great care of us, was very well informed and made sure that each of us was comfortable and safe. She answered our questions about Ecuador, the plants and animals, identified birds for us and supplemented with photographs. We had a fantastic day.

  Gustavo is absolutely born to be a guide. He clearly enjoys sharing his vast knowledge with interested people. And there is a lot to share on Full-Day Mindo Cloud Forest Tour; I will not say more to avoid spoilers - but it was top notch. Cannot recommend highly enough, you will not be in better hands than with Gustavo.

  We had a great day exploring with Pato, our tour guide. It was an overcast day, wet at times but it didn't matter, Pato created a great experience for us. Volcano, birds, butterflies, a hike in the Rsin Forest to a waterfall and a delicious lunch at a beautiful spot. The last stop of the day was an artesian chocolate shop. • Mindo full day tour

  Gustavo provided us with the most memorable day ever, finishing our South America trip on a total high. He shared his wealth of knowledge about the flora and fauna along with the history and culture of the area,people and country. The hummingbirds were so mesmerising. We were taken to some amazing sites and the lunch spot was a traditional Ecudorian lunch which was delicious. Gustavo adjusted the day based on our interests and due to weather but covered the cloud forest, butterflies, chocolate tour and when we were unsuccessful at sighting toucans he took us to another bird park to enable us to see them. • Colorful, delicious and fascinating day trip

  Gustavo was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. He spent almost 12 hours with me! We drove through different ecosystems, visited many species of hummingbirds, tanagers and even saw a Toucan. Had a lovely hike to a waterfall and talked about many of the plant species. Gustavo guided me to great restaurants for lunch and dinner. And we had a full chocolate tasting tour. I never knew how coco beans grew! A very worthwhile tour with a wonderful guide!
