Discover the biodiversity of the tropical panamanian rainforest, home to more than 400 species of birds and several mamals. Capture memories that will lost a lifetime. We can include the visit to the Panama Rainforest Discovery Center upon request (entrance cost is 20$ per person). Transfer time from hotel to the park is approximately 1 hour.

5.00We had a wonderful time birdwatching with Mario. He had a lot of knowledge and was enthusiastic to show us as many birds as possible. He knew the location of several birds that we would never have found on our own. One of the highlights was visiting a snack place where he had set up feeders for hummingbirds and other fruits for different birds. He even gave us snacks there while we rested and observed the multiple birds. The experience is highly recommended.

5.00Great knowledge of the area and birds. Comfortable transportation ( 7 passenger SUV for group of 4). Wish the tour could be longer.

5.00We had an amazing experience in a morning with Mario! We saw over 50 species— 20+ were new lifers for us. Mario worked to help us find the species which we were most interested to see— plus he went above and beyond in giving us free coffee, empanadas, and fruit. He has a space to use clean bathrooms while watching feeder birds too. He was very conscientious about our physical abilities. He is an excellent teacher and guide and a kind soul.

5.00We can' t say enough good things about our birding trip with Mario. He is knowledgeable, entertaining, and enthusiastic, not only about birds, but about life in Panama in general. We saw many species of birds that we would never have seen had it not been for Mario's keen eye. There are a lot of birding guides and businesses in Panama, but I'm sure there is not a better value than an excursion with Mario.

5.00This was a truly amazing experience. Mario has a keen eye for birds and animals. My wife and I saw 50+ species of birds in about 3 hours, along with sloths and even a group of coatimundi. He is deeply knowledgeable about all the wildlife in the area and its history. I think we might only have seen maybe 10% of the species on our own. His knowledge of the area and the individual bird calls is a sight to behold. His spotting scope brings the birds up close and personal. He is kind and generous with his time. The tour included a stop for coffee and empanadas, which was so welcome given our 6 am start.

5.00"Panama with Mario" at the Pipe Line (along the canal ecosystem) was a very satisfying birding and photography experience. Mario is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and sensitive. I will recommend him in a heartbeat. Toucans, antbirds, motmot, chachalaca, a ringed kingfisher with a catch, tiger heron, slaty-tailed trogon, cacique, manekin, hummers, ...and more.

5.00Had a great day with Mario. We really enjoyed and saw a lot. Mario is friendly, knows how to find the birds well and his enthusiasm for birding is palpable and infectious. At 6 o'clock sharp he was on the sidewalk and we drove to Gamboa for the first birds. Beautiful toucans, tanagers and more. Then to several places including the pipeline road. In the end we saw 72 species of birds. We can't recommend anything but Mario wholeheartedly.
