Arras
Arras is blessed with a very rich architectural heritage as its two Flemish Baroque style squares : « La Place des Heroes » and « La Grand Place » will confirm. It is also a place full of history going from Roman times and across the centuries. During the hour long visit the guide will tell you some of its story walking along its paved street
Cimetiere du Cabaret Rouge
Cabaret-Rouge British Cemetery was established near the site of a small café called Cabaret Rouge used by soldiers in the early days of the First World war. It contains 7,655 Commonwealth burials from WWI from 100 other cemeteries and WWII. On the 25th of May 2000, the CWGC exhumed the remains of an unidentified Canadian Soldier. His ashes were returned to Canada and laid to rest at the foot of the National War Memorial in Ottawa.

Our Guide, Diane was terrific. The day flew by with content and personal touches. Diane had done some research and found what turned out to be a Great Uncle who fought and died in WW1. Finding his name on the Vimy memorial was very powerful. Highly recommend!

The WI sites were both beautiful and somber at the same time. What a loss of life with most of those being less than 27 years of age. The highlight for us was Vimy Ridge and the sites around it.

Brigitte our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable and helpful and took us to places we did not expect to see as well as the very imposing Vimy Ridge monument. We toured the tunnels, and some war cemeteries , Canadian, British, and German. Highly recommended for all.

Our guide, Brigette, was able to set the scene for our full day that culminated at the Canadian Memorial at Vimy Ridge. The morning was spent visiting the vast cemeteries (German, Commonwealth, French), a quirky museum of artifacts, and a charming lunch stop. Thank you!

Brigette gave us a fantastic tour. She is incredibly knowledgeable about WW1. She made the tour very enjoyable to all. There were two groups of people together. My husband and I plus three gentlemen (3 generations). The youngest in our group was 13 and we ranged up to 65. She did a great job of keeping everyone engaged during the tour. Thank you Brigette.
