The historic royal tour takes you on a journey, exploring historic castles and palaces located in North Holland, Utrecht, and Gelderland.
Away from the crowded Amsterdam city, you will be taken first to the beautiful and grand 'Paleis Het Loo'( 75 -90 minutes drive). This 17th-century summer palace was renovated and reopened in 2022. You will be able to visit the Palace, Garden and the Stables (Entrance fees included).
Followed by exploring the lesser-known private castles in the region of Baarn (based on available time) . These include Castle Groeneveld (garden/surroundings), Castle De Hooge Vuursche (view from the outside), Castle Sloterdijk (view from the outside), and a few others.
Finally, we will visit the 13th-century castle Muiderslot. You can enjoy the view of the castle from the outside, and if you prefer, you can enter the castle by paying a fee of €19 per person directly.
Drive back to the hotel in Amsterdam.

Meet and Greet in Amsterdam. We will meet you at your Hotel/Place of stay in Amsterdam. We will give a brief introduction about the itinerary (15 minutes). After the brief, we will drive to our first location 'Castle Muiderslot' (about 45 minutes).
Paleis Het Loo
The highlight of our visit. The 330-year-old palace is now fully renovated and open to the public from 2022. The history of Paleis Het Loo goes back to the 17th century and it is probably the most grand palace in the country. We will explore the lavish Palace, Gardens and the Royal vehicles

5.00Beautiful palace and castle. When we arrived at Palais het Loo we stopped at the stables and saw gorgeous Friesian horses hooked up to a lovely carriage. The gardens were wonderful as well as the Palais.

5.00Gopinath was amazing. Communication in advance was great. He showed up on time. Car was very clean. He managed all the details. We just rode along (and even napped a bit). The renovated palace & exhibits were amazing. And the medieval castle too. He showed us around with personal commentary and we did the audio tours too. All-around a great day! Thank you!

5.00We had so much fun on the tour! We got to see the beautiful palace and castles and had an amazing history lesson along the way. Our teenage daughters thouroughally enjoyed the excursion as well.

5.00This was a fantastic tour! Good was knowledgeable and professional. He was patient with my mom’s need to go slow and use a lift. He was personable and kind. This is a must do itinerary, but Gopi made it even better!

5.00We had an excellent tout with Gopi. The car was clean and comfortable. We visited some interesting castles and palaces. I definitely recommend this tour if you want a reasonably priced private day trip out of Amsterdam.

5.00This was an excellent tour, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to see sites outside of Amsterdam. Our guide, Gopi, was very knowledgeable, polite and professional. He gave us lots of information about the sites we visited along the way. His car was clean and he's and excellent driver. Paleis Het Loo was very impressive and is comparable to other top palaces in Europe. Despite its massive size, it wasn't overly busy with tourists, unlike most of the sites in Amsterdam. Castle Muiderslot was a much older, more rustic castle that was also neat to see. This tour made it possible to visit wonderful sites outside Amsterdam that would have been difficult to get to if we had to rely on public transportation.
