YehLiu Geopark
Yehliu is a cape on Taiwan’s northern coast best known for Yehliu Geopark, where sea erosion has shaped honeycomb and mushroom rocks such as the iconic Queen’s Head and Dragon’s Head. The area is mostly flat but offers little shade, so sun protection is advised during summer.
Chiufen (Jiufen Old Street)
Feel transported to this former gold-mining mountain town—once built by the Japanese and now a maze of history-rich lanes and alleys. Most of the charming streets are stairways lined with snack stalls and teahouses, and they can get quite crowded. (Tip: If you’d like to experience Jiufen at sunset or dusk, book a departure after 11:00 AM. This will make Jiufen the final stop, giving you time to enjoy the sunset views and evening lights.)

5.00Despite heavy rain, we had so much fun visiting the unique rock formation at the geo park, took many pictures and enjoyed a mild hike which was quite safe and do-able. The two mining towns visit gave us a glance of Taiwan history and we enjoyed sampling delicious street food and saw move like scenes at Jiuofen that was surreal. The sky lantern was the perfect magical moment to end the day. The tour guide Terry was very friendly and accommodating of our interest. It was time and money very well spent. We would highly recommend the tour.

5.00It’s a wonderful 9 hour tour with splendid views, delicious food and multiple unique experiences. Our tour guide, Bubble Wong, is dedicated, experienced and professional guide. Throughout the journey he shared with us so much history background information, anecdotes and tips for first time Taiwan travelers. He is flexible and willing to accommodate customers requests, like staying longer or shorter at a given stop. When we mentioned that we are interested in the cat village which is not part of original tour route, Bubble happily added that stop and we had the chance to see so many (>30) cute cats. When we asked to skip Shifen waterfalls due to late time, he directly took us to Shifen old street where we had the unique experience of “sky lantern”. Overall strongly recommend this tour, especially tour guide, Bubble!

5.00Excellent experience visiting some beautiful locations in Northern Taiwan. We didn't know much about the area and learned a lot in the trip. The tour was adapted to our interests and needs, and we got to see some special details that we would have missed on our own.

5.00I booked my tour through Klook when I decided to go somewhere outside of Taipei city. I book for this private tour with pick up and I was assigned “Nocholas” as my tour guide. His communication for arrangement was precise and easy to follow instructions. And he’s punctual when picking us up from our hotel. As I was with my mom who’s in her 70’s so he help us pick the route that’s easy for elderly and yet we are still be able to enjoy our experience. His explanation of things is easy to understand and he’s very helpful and polite throughout our tour. I highly recommend this.

5.00We had a wonderful North Taiwan tour with our guide Cody, covering Yehliu Geopark, Shifen (lantern release and waterfalls), and Jiufen. The entire day was very well organized, well-paced, and completely stress-free. Cody was friendly, professional, and attentive, making sure we were comfortable and enjoying every stop. He’s also a great photographer and knew exactly where to take the best photos, which was such a bonus. His local recommendations—including lunch—were excellent and really added to the experience. If you’re looking for a guide who is reliable, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about giving you a great trip, I highly recommend Cody. He made our North Taiwan tour a highlight of our visit.

5.00Vincent was wonderful. He paced the tour perfectly to match my rhythm and speed, was very informative, and maintained a genuinely positive attitude throughout. He was also a fantastic photographer. I don’t usually take many photos, but he encouraged me to take advantage of the many beautiful photo opportunities he created, and now I have so many lovely pictures to keep forever. Vincent was truly a joy to be around, and I deeply appreciated the care he took in guiding me as I discovered Taiwan with him.
