YehLiu Geopark
Yehliu is a cape on Taiwan’s northern coast best known for Yehliu Geopark, where sea erosion has shaped honeycomb and mushroom rocks such as the iconic Queen’s Head and Dragon’s Head. The area is mostly flat but offers little shade, so sun protection is advised during summer.
Chiufen (Jiufen Old Street)
Feel transported to this former gold-mining mountain town—once built by the Japanese and now a maze of history-rich lanes and alleys. Most of the charming streets are stairways lined with snack stalls and teahouses, and they can get quite crowded. (Tip: If you’d like to experience Jiufen at sunset or dusk, book a departure after 11:00 AM. This will make Jiufen the final stop, giving you time to enjoy the sunset views and evening lights.)

5.00Vincent is a great and entertaining guide. In spite of the rain, we found the tour fun, engaging and safe for seniors. He easily conversed with my parents and friends who joined the tour. Vincent also made arrangements to make the day more special because it was my mothers birthday. Overall one of the best tours we had. Looking forward for the next time we visit Taipei.

5.00Terry was an excellent tour guide who was very passionate about his region and extremely knowledgeable. He was super friendly had a great sense of humour and knew which places to go to. I would highly recommend this tour and having Terry as your guide and particularly visiting Jiufen and Shifen.

5.00Highly recommend this company! We did two separate eight-hour private tours and both were wonderful. We had Sean for the Northern Coast and Jennifer for Beitou/Longshan/Yangminshan. Although they had different styles, they both were AWESOME! We were thrilled with the work—from the communication to the driving to the knowledge to the friendliness—of both of them. Sean and Jennifer helped make our time in Taiwan quite memorable. Jennifer even showed us around some of her personal favorite spots when we were near her where she lives. A strong A+ for the company, which was easy to work with on the front end, and for the tour guides.

He communicated days in advance of the trip to confirm pick up location, picked us up promptly, and drove to amazing locations you don’t want to miss when visiting Taiwan. He also shared helpful history and culture tips. He had great enthusiastic energy that made spending the day with him feel super fun. I highly recommend YOLO Taiwan and would gladly do another trip with them! Thanks, Nicolas, for the fun memories (and that delicious local lunch!)

5.00We had Vincent as our tour guide and he made our experience incredibly relaxing and informative! He was very flexible with our schedule and made sure to give us time to rest and recharge. I could tell he also knew a ton about each place and answered all our questions with detail. He also took some great pictures for us throughout the day. We really enjoyed the tour!

5.00Vincent is the greatest guide ever! He is personable, has a great sense of humor, has fun stories about his pets (ask about his snakes and tarantulas), is very kind, and knows all the nooks and crannies worth seeing. He went with us to every location giving us background info, showed us a wonderful, out of the way, coffee shop, avoided a steep staircase climb in favor of a more scenic and gentle route, and guided us to an out of the way restaurant with a great view. We had a most wonderful day. My wife, adult son, and I all enjoyed ourselves and will always remember our tour with Vincent as a highlight of our stay in Taiwan. Thank you!

5.00We had such a wonderful time during our private tour. Mainly because our tour guide, Nicolas Ying, was amazing. He was so warm and friendly, and he was so knowledgeable and interesting facts about Taiwan. We also wanted to skip a few spots on the tour and Nicolas was so accommodating. I appreciate that I was able to eat all the food I had in my list and Nicolas also gave great recommendations. I will definitely do another tour with Nicolas for ny next Taiwan trip!
