5.00This excursion is a great way to see city life in Dakar. Yes do the monuments and museums in another tour. But don’t miss this one. See how people live. See the fishing villages. The quaint restaurants. The food was fabulous. Malou is a great guy. He is knowledgeable. Great personality to hang out with for the day. I’m so glad I booked this tour and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get to know the culture in Senegal.

5.00The only way to experience Dakar. Zip around via scooter and take in this vibrant, fast-paced city like a local. Malou is friendly, professional, and will make you feel as if you’re family. The whole tour flowed seamlessly from curbside pickup at my local accommodations all the way till drop off. As a traveler who loves to eat, a personal highlight was finding a plate of brilliantly spiced jollof rice and chicken for lunch at a locals only food stall. A tasty experience I surely would have missed wandering Dakar by myself. Do yourself a favor. Book this experience! 🇸🇳

5.00Wow. Eye opening. Thrilling. Not to be missed. The guys met us OUTSIDE the port gate on two mopeds with helmets. Cover up or wear lots of sunscreen. Bring water. A fascinating look at Senegalese society including back-alley breakfast shops and a delightful lunch at his aunt’s home. Some French very helpful.

5.00I am a local guide , and very often receive tourists, who come from different countries, we drive around to see the sights in Dakar (Renaissance Monument, Soumbédioune Handicraft Village, Museum of Black Civilizations, ..), we also stop at 1:30 pm, for lunch in a Senegalese restaurant, then continue our visit. And these are wonderful times.

5.00An impressive experience to get to know the local culture and community. Very well organized and managed by Bea. The guide Malou is an expert in his profession and a very nice and welcoming person. Had breakfast and lunch with locals. I got many interesting insights with a lot of valuable background information. I can highly recommend this tour.

5.00This is hands down the best way to get an authentic taste of life in Dakar. This is not run by a tour company, but rather one guy who has lived here all his life and wants people to see what the daily life is like for someone who lives here. Malou picks you up on his motorcycle and takes you to several markets to see how the locals shop, try classic Senegalese food from multiple small and hidden places, and show off several cool places where locals work, hang our, or relax, all while giving his perspective on what it’s like to live here and the challenges/advantages that come with it. The majority of the tour you will spend time in places no other tourists will ever go. I’ve taken dozens of tours from all around the world, and this is the only one where I truly felt like I got an experience that showed what life truly is like as a local. I cannot recommend this enough.
