Welcome to Fascinating tour to the land of mountains where top of the ridges are always covered with snow and where narrow gorges hide small lakes with an amazing color of water.
The lakes are called the Haftkul (which means “Seven Lakes” in Tajik) - sometimes they are also known as Marguzor Lakes.
Mountain villages perched near Lakes Khurdak and Marguzor provide a glimpse into the present-day lifestyle of rural Tajik families.
Visa Requirements for Your Trip
This trip starts in Uzbekistan and enters Tajikistan. Both Uzbekistan and Tajikistan offer visa-free entry for many nationalities. However, before booking, please check your specific visa requirements to ensure a smooth journey.
If you need a visa, make sure you have:
A Tajikistan visa (if required for your nationality).
A double-entry visa for Uzbekistan, as you will re-enter the country after visiting Tajikistan.

Meet up with our driver in your hotel and transfer to Uzbek - Tajik border. Arrival at Uzbek - Tajik border pass. You nned to walk to cross the border. After border crossing fomality Meet by Tajikistan staff and drive to Penjikent.
Seven Lakes
Drive to Marghuzor, the first lake , at an elevation of 1,640 m. Its name traslates to eyelashes in Tajik. The lake is known for its vibrant colors. Next you will visit Soya Lake. Translating as "shadow", due to this lake's geographical position between high cliffs, the lake remains in the shade almost the whole day. The third lake, Gushor, is sitauted a mere 400 meters from Soya. The two lakes are connected by a turbulent stream. Translating as "watchful", this lake is surrounded by steep cliffs. Fourth lake, called Nofin, is the central lake translates as "umbilical cord" due to its length, which stands at 2.5 km The fifth lake, situated 1.5 km away from Nofin and passing through the beautiful village of Pardut is the Khurdak lake, which translates to "the baby" as this lake is the smallest one of the seven. The sixth lake, Marguzor, is the largest and, to many people, the most beautiful of the Seven Lakes.

5.00Our family trip to the Seven Lakes in Tajikistan was truly unforgettable. The drive up the mountain was an exciting and scenic journey, with winding roads and breathtaking views of the alpine landscape along the way. The winter snow added a magical touch, turning the mountains into a stunning alpine wonderland. The 4WD vehicle was excellent and handled the off-road terrain smoothly and safely, which made the trip very comfortable for our family. A beautiful experience filled with nature, adventure, and precious family moments in Tajikistan.
It is worth seeing the7 lakes!

4.00Great trip. Excellent guide, safe and comfortable car, good driver. All the staff super friendly. The lakes are amazing and the cultural experience was incredible. I super recommend. It missed one star just because I believe that the stops could be longer (perhaps they were not In my trip Because of the intense cold). As complementary service It could be offered a hot tea / coffee with local pastries or snacks.

5.00I only had a free day during a long business assignment in Samarkand and decided to take this tour. I am NOT a guided tour person because usually it's a busload of people and it's diffucult to really enjoy what you're doing, especially if the time is short and you get herded around quickly by the guides. However, this was one of the best guided tours I've ever taken! It worked perfectly, the groups were small in private cars, and our guide was perfect - attentive, kind, careful driver, and VERY knowledgeable about the places we visited on the way and the History of Tajikistan and Central Asia. He gave us plenty of time at the stop sites to take pictures, walk around and just enjoy the extraordinary scenery of the mountains and lakes, and although we were late due to an unplanned stop for coffee, he still took us to the amazing archaeological site near the border (don't miss it!). It suprpassed my expectation enormously, and I highly recommend this tour with these guys

5.00It was a really nice trip. Our driver in uzbekistan and in Tajikistan were both very kind and made several stops for taking photo’s and also taking short breaks. Our driver in Tanikistan knew a lot of the history and told us a lot thing about the country. Very helpfull driver.

5.00This was a great way to visit the Seven Lakes from Samarkand. We were picked up from our hotel in town and driven to the border. After we crossed the border, our guide picked us up on the other side and drove us to the lakes. The transition between our driver in Uzbekistan and the guide in Tajikistan was extremely smooth. We stopped at each lake and were able to take as many pictures as we wanted, we never felt a time pressure to leave any of the lakes. This tour was mostly driving, there weren’t good opportunities for walks or hikes but we got to see some great scenery. The transition back from Tajikistan to Uzbekistan was just as smooth and we were dropped off back at our hotel. Overall we really enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend using this operator if you’d like to see the Seven Lakes!

4.00Worth the detour to spend day exploring all the 7 Lakes. Expect a rough ride over bumpy unpaved dusty roads. Our backs hurt overnight because of the super bumpy ride. Overall tour was fine but would prefer for drivers on both Uzbek and Tajik side to be less speed-crazy on the road and also for cars to have working seatbelts in the passengers’ seats.
