Nizwa, the ancient capital of Oman with its fascinating souk and impressive 17th-century fort which provides stunning views from its tower. Your journey continues on a scenic mountain route up to the roof of Oman and feel the climate cool down on the top of the green mountain. Jabal Akhdar offers discovery, adventure, and a fascinating insight into the life of one of the most accessible places in Oman. We take a leisurely walk through the hanging gardens alongside the original Falaj system and visit Diana Point with spectacular views across Jebel's canyons and terraced villages.

2.5 hours journey frrom Muscat city. Traditional handicrafts, food, and items can be found at Nizwa Souq. Numerous spices, rose water, dates, carpets, and lamps are available for purchase here. You will be enchanted as you stroll through by the streets lined with elaborately painted pottery. True Omani hospitality is also demonstrated by the merchants who sit in front of their stores and invite you to visit and enjoy coffee and dates.

From the very first moment, his passion for his country and his deep knowledge of the local culture were evident. He didn't just show us the most famous tourist sites, but also led us through less-traveled paths, revealing hidden gems that are rarely found in traditional guidebooks. What made this experience truly special was the way our guide shared his lifestyle and directly introduced us to Omani culture. We had the opportunity to visit authentic local markets, taste traditional dishes in restaurants frequented by locals, and even participate in brief moments of daily life that offered us a genuine glimpse into Omani hospitality and traditions. His advice was invaluable: he suggested the best times to visit certain places, pointed out small local artisans where I could buy authentic souvenirs, and told us stories and anecdotes that brought the places we were visiting to life. It wasn't just a guided tour, but a real cultural exchange. His kindness, his willingness to answer all our questions, and his sincere desire to make me appreciate the beauty and authenticity of Oman made this trip a transformative experience. 5.00Fantastic day spent with Mr Adil he explained so much about nizwa & Al Hama. We learnt so much about Omani culture & history. Lovely relaxed day spent in large air conditioned vehicle which made for a really fantastic time. Highly recommend the trip!
