The full day tour takes about 7-8 hours and leads you to all points of interest of Faial. The Faial, everything in one day is perfect for visitors who want to know more about Faial, its history and its people.
The tour leads you along the southern coast from Horta to the volcano of Capelinhos. At lunch time, we will have a rich picnic in one of the recreational parks of Faial. In the afternoon you will visit the Caldeira, see the lighthouse of Riberinha destroyed by an earthquake and then go to one of the best sandy beaches of the Azores.

Faial Island
The first part of the tour follows largely the main road on the southern coast of Faial to the Volcano of Capelinhos. The second part leads up to the Caldeira then to the eastern tip of the Island and from there back to Horta. In-between the attractions there are short drives of 15 to 20 minutes.
The cliffs of Lajinha are in Feteira, a small parish on the south coast of Faial. A nice place to view the rocky and south coast of Faial created by lava flows.

Unforgettable excursion around Faial

5.00We've traveled to many countries and continents, but this excursion around Faial was one of the best. Andreas is a true island expert who made the excursion an unforgettable experience. Lunch in the park was delicious and organized with love for the guests and the food. Special thanks to Andreas's wife, who made an incredibly delicious sauce for the very tasty pasta. Everything was amazing.

From the very beginning, the booking process was smooth, and the communication beforehand regarding the meeting point, the individual itinerary, and even dietary restrictions was easy, attentive, and well organized. On the day of the tour, everything was perfectly arranged. We not only explored the most beautiful parts of the island, but also learned a great deal about Faial, its people, traditions, and its fascinating geological features. Andreas is an excellent guide, driver, and host: knowledgeable, dedicated, and genuinely friendly. The lunch was a thoughtfully prepared elevated picnic in the park we thoroughly enjoyed, both in terms of taste and atmosphere. We highly recommend this tour and would book it again anytime. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to experience Faial in an authentic and in-depth way.

5.00We only had one day on Faial and wanted to see as much as possible. After the nice reception at the ferry, we also started immediately to the first lookout point. We learned a lot and our questions were all answered. It was like a casual conversation between friends that we learned a lot from. At noon there was something delicious to eat and a lot of effort was made. We can only recommend it and would like to thank Andreas and his wife very much and wish them all the best for the future.

5.00We had just one full day on Faial, and we're extremely pleased and thankful to have spent it with Andreas. Kind and witty, engaging and professional, Andreas is a wonderful guide with an encyclopedic knowledge of the island. We loved the mixture of personal anecdotes, historical context, natural scenery, and beautiful sightseeing, not to mention a delicious homemade picnic lunch at a tranquil park. Would strongly recommend this tour.
Fabulous day tour visiting many points of interest but the wonderful guide was what made this day so memorable.

5.00This is an excellent tour. We had a limited time on Faial so decided to take the tour to make the most of our time there. We visited all the main sites and other places of interest. Andreas shared so much interesting information about the places we visited. He was very knowledgeable and willingly answered questions. He offered an interesting viewpoint as he has lived in the Azores for several years but is from elsewhere in Europe. He shared many interesting insights to the unique culture and lifestyle in the Azores. We had a lovely picnic lunch in a forest park. The day felt really special and I can highly recommend this tour.

5.00Guide showed up 5 minutes early. The entire tour was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable guide with lots of interesting stories. Perfect English. I would absolutely recommend this tour. It was the highlight of our stay in Horta.

5.00Andreas, our exclusive guide, was really kind and professional. Very knowledgeable about geography, history, economy, volcanology and geology of this island. He showed us the most fascinating sites of Faial and told us about traditions that still endure and stories of current life. Really nice experience!

5.00Andreas organized and designed the tour perfectly. We got to know beautiful places on Faial and learned a lot about the history and natural conditions. For lunch we had a delicious picnic in the picturesque park with deer and peacocks. Thank you, Andreas! When we come back, we hope you will show us Pico as well;-)

5.00Today we booked a full day tour of the island with Andreas. It was a wonderful day with many impressions. Andreas is a funny tour guide. He told us a lot of interesting things about the history of the island and the people. Highly recommended. Everything was well organized and very relaxed. The food was great. 5.00My daughter and I enjoyed our tour with Andreas in Faial. He provided great historic information and we were able to see many beautiful areas on the island. We found his stories about living on the island to be fascinating. The lunch in a sheltered stone private area in a lovely park was delicious. Homemade by his wife. Andreas was also very attuned to the weather and planned our day accordingly. We loved this tour.
