  A fantastic tour along the northern coast of North Ireland. Our driver an guide Ronnie did an excellent job and took us to spots you shouldn’t miss, a great experience!

  My sister and I hired Ronnie, at great expense, in order to be able to see the sites at our own pace. We are fairly fit women in our late 50’s and are happy to walk and would prefer not to wait on others. This will be a long review, settle in, this will be very honest. Ronnie collected us at our hotel promptly at 9:00am and instantly we felt he was a very lovely man who had tons of knowledge of the area and lots of local pride. We shared with him how excited we were to be on a private tour and shared our views of group tours with him. I also told him that I had a sore throat and would be wearing a mask while in the car because of close quarters, fairness to all to keep everyone healthy. Chatting was easy and informative on our drive to the first stop, The Dark Hedges and we strolled down the lane to meet Ronnie on the opposite end from where he had dropped us. We then saw that he had green goo tire repair and a small compressor to fill the tire. He said this had happened before but it would be fixed in a minute or two, also stating that he had meant to get a spare tire for the boot but just hadn’t. (A previous review had this same issue now that I have looked again) Needless to say, the tire did not hold, despite being filled twice more and we limped into Ballycastle where we waited 1.5 hours for Ronnie’s brother to come. We then waited another 15-20 minutes for them to decide what to do next. We were then driven in the brothers car to Carrick-a-Rede bridge and told that we had an hour and Ronnie would return to pick us up. We lost another 10 minutes there waiting for him. He came and we carried on to Ballintoy where he told us to have “a wee look” and then we would carry on….we had 10 minutes there at most. As far as lunch went, we missed that reservation and the window to stop and get a to go lunch had closed as the biggest sites of the day had still to come. We next went to the Giants Causeway, arriving around 3:05 and were instructed to meet him at the car at 4:15. Our next and final site was Dunluce Castle at which we arrived at 4:35, too late to gain entrance into the castle or site. We has fantastic weather and for that it was lovely. The car was clean and comfortable and Ronnie was vey informative. The flat tire was beyond his control, granted. Having a spare and a jack would have saved our tour day and we would be singing his praises for being so well prepared. We expected more from a professional, to be honest. There were no snacks offered to us so we bought our own cold water Overall, it seems that this tour description is overly ambitious for a company that A) has no contingency plan and B) is not fully equipped for minor interruptions such as a flat tire. I believe the first rule of business is to fulfill every obligation that is laid out for the customer, in this he failed and I would hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone. Especially after seeing that it has, indeed, happened before. We paid $715.00 CAD, not a small sum.

  Great service, special attention to our interests. What an amazing time and Ronnie do an amazing job keeping us away from the “tour bus” crowd for lunch and the tourist sites

  Great tour. I'm a big fan of Ronnie, very knowledgeable and friendly. He knows his stuff and is an all around good person. Makes the experience enjoyable and low stress. This is about as good as it gets for maximizing your day. The sights are great, he makes it very very easy.

  Ronnie was great! Our family has never watched "Game of Thrones" but since we've seen so many places in the TV show, we will definitely be binging it soon. The views were beautiful. The Carrick-a-Rede bridge was exciting and nerve-wracking. The Dunluce castle and its windy views were breathtaking. We enjoyed our time at the Giants Causeway and the beautiful Dark Hedges. Northern Ireland is a beautiful place and it was so nice to tour the countryside to enjoy its beauty. Thanks Ronnie!

• BEST Cruise excursion - with limited time in port

  If you have around 6 hours and want to make the most of a side trek through the rolling hills of Northern Ireland….. THIS IS THE BEST!!! FYI - we came in on a cruise ship and very limited time. Pick up at the port was easy and simple. Not only was Ronnie friendly, but very communicative about stops, time allowed, etc. In addition to being a very good driver, he was also a VERY efficient one; not wasting time one bit. Even the “drop offs” with explanations on where to find him allowed extra time at the stops. PLUS….. we could just tell that passion and history lived within his existence. Thank you for making the most of the 6.5hr tour we took (Dark Hedges, Rope Bridge, Causeway, Dunluce and harbour)!

  Giants Causeway was SO beautiful. Photos came out amazing and Ronnie was a great tour guide! Can’t wait to show my family all the photos and share my experience with them.

  We had a great day with Ronnie. We scheduled him for a cruise excursion to the Carrick-a-reed bridge, giant’s causeway, and some GOT sites. He sent a tentative itinerary ahead of time for us to look over which included a stop for lunch (it had great food)! He was great at checking in before and during the tour. He let us enjoy everything at our leisure and gave us some history and information about things as we drove. And always a bonus he got us back to the ship in plenty of time!   The views and places we went were amazing and I was able to get some great pictures. Unfortunately there were the down sides. For a family of 4 adults a tiny car was sent which could barely accommodate us and made the driving experience very poor as we spent a few hours in the car. This was pretty unacceptable and a better car should have been sent. We had to accommodate the driver as he got a flat tire on the ride. He was good enough to imply the extra weight of the 4 of us in the car could be part of the reason for the flat. But he was not very accommodating to anything we asked. We were also supposed to have lunch. The driver failed to check ahead and then could not find a place to eat so we just had to skip that. I would not recommend this to anyone looking to book. And I would suggest another company instead.
