Start your day with a hotel pickup in Mu Cang Chai and transfer to the trekking point. A local H’mong guide will lead you through scenic rice terraces in La Pan Tan and Mu Cang Chai, with stops at iconic viewpoints like Đồi Mâm Xôi (Raspberry Hill) and La Pan Tan viewpoint. Along the way, you’ll walk through H’mong villages, meet locals working in the fields, sewing at home, or tending buffalo, and see how they live in the high mountains. During the right season, you may also try farming activities like planting or harvesting rice by hand. Your English-speaking H’mong guide will share stories about daily life, culture, food, and seasonal traditions in the rice terrace region. Lunch is included — enjoy a home-cooked meal with your guide and get a true taste of local life. Note: This is a private and flexible tour. The itinerary will be adjusted on the day based on your fitness level, start time, and weather.

Incredibly beautiful Mu Chan Chai

5.00Mu Cang Chai is a spectacular place to see, with beautifully stacked rice paddies, green hills and snowy mountains on the horizon. On a sunny day the scenery looked like it's taken from a fairy tale. We were lucky to see it on a wonderful, late October day! We had it all: Yien, our guide, and his friend delivered my husband and me on their motorbikes right from our homestay to the beginning of the trail. We hiked around rice paddies, and narrow trails above them, through the tall elephant grass, and close to a hidden waterfall. We hardly could stop taking more and more pictures - hundreds of them, made at every turn and twist of our route. The lunch was delivered by yet another person, who brought it on a motobike to the nearest from us field, where we had it sitting right on the edge of a rice paddy! It was truly memorable!

5.00I stayed here for three days and it was, without a doubt, one of the best experiences of my trip through Vietnam. The place is authentic, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, and the hospitality makes you feel like part of the family. The excursions were varied, well organized, and allowed me to truly experience local life and the rice terraces of Mu Cang Chai in a beautiful and genuine way. I highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking to experience the real Vietnam, far from the usual tourist spots, with warm and sincere hospitality. I would definitely come back!

5.00The full day trek was really interesting. The guide was able to answer every question and the viewpoints are really beautiful despite visiting the area in mid-March when the terraces are dry. There are quite steep climbs but you also take various breaks to catch your breath and to enjoy the view

5.00The homestay is in an elevated position and has one of the best views in the place. They are very kind and hospitable, the food they cook is very good and tasty. The one-day trek through the rice fields of Mu Cang Chai is beautiful, if you are not trained you will struggle a lot, they bring you lunch for the day and water. Unforgettable experience.

5.00Immersed in the nature of the rice fields, the varied landscape and nature is sovereign. There is peace and serenity, despite being a place of work and sustenance for the population. Wonderful view and photos accordingly. Great lunch prepared with care.
