Please note that this daytrip does not include licensed guide service. Our English speaking driver will give basic info, answer your questions, lead to the ticket offices and will advise best local restaurants for lunch. If licensed guide is requested it can be arranged at an additional cost at the sights that we will be visiting, please inform us in advance if such service is needed so we can book it for you.
Please keep in mind or check sites you desire to visit as during the Winter month some sites do not operate every day of the week. Our drivers will advice alternative sites to fill up your day if any of the sites are closed.

Cesis Medieval Castle
Visit of castle museum and surroundings. Walk thru central part of town.
Araisi Lake Dwelling Site
Āraiši lake dwelling site is a tourist location with original and reconstructed remnants of Latvian prehistory. It is a unique nationally important archaeological site with remains of the 9th–10th centuries Latgalian fortified settlement. Today the lake dwelling is partially reconstructed and visitors can see rebuilt prehistoric Latgalian wooden buildings. During the excavations, remains of 151 wooden buildings were discovered, with 3700 artifacts and about a hundred thousand fragments of pottery. Using collected data, ethnographic parallels and replicas of ancient tools, today there are 14 reconstructed buildings of the first period of the construction of the fortified settlement. Site is a member of the EXARC organization of open-air archaeological museums throughout Europe.

5.00Family trip, first time in Riga. The tour was very well organized. We were picked up right on time and started our way to Cēsis. There was a bottle of water for each of us in the van. The van and the tour guide (Mr Ivars) was very nice and explained everything in english. We did the first half of the tour, then had lunch in Sigulda and continue to the 2 final castles (Sigulda and Turaida). Mr Ivars was very patient, we had a person with reduced mobility and took a bit longer to walk the castles but he waited for us with a great attitude, despite being behind schedule. Our trip included 2 kids (10 and 11) and they also enjoyed history and the sight from the castle and their towers. Definitely recommended when visiting Riga for the first time.

4.00Fantastic driver - had a lovely day trip despite being able to visit Cesis castle as it is closed on Mondays. Our driver was exceptionally helpful in organising alternative options for our day instead .

5.00Had a wonderful day seeing the sights and castles at Cesis, Sigulda and Turaida. I was picked up on time and Martins the driver/guide was an excellent host. Highly recommended and you will have a great day and it’s nice to get a chance to see the countryside outside of Riga
