Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka.Sri Lanka. Yala harbours 215 bird species including six endemic species of Sri Lanka. The number of mammals that has been recorded from the park is 44, and it has one of the highest leopard densities in the world.

5.00We couldn’t have wanted more from our safari. Our guide Supun was absolutely amazing, so gentle, knowledgeable and respectful towards the animals. We saw three (3!!!) leopards literally minutes after entering the park and even got to spend so much time with elephants completely alone with no other jeeps around. Supun also has a gift for spotting animals and we were continuously amazed by his ability which allowed us to see basically all possible animals in the park (water buffaloes, deers, owls, all kind of birds, eagles, rabbits, leopards, elephants and even two gigantic crocodiles!). Also, the lunch provided was soooo delicious, we devoured it. We couldn’t ask for a better experience!

5.00We had an awesome time with Rangana, our guide! He was a great driver, knew exactly how to spot all the animals and was very knowlegable to all our questions on the animals. We saw three times a different leopard during the “full day” safari and of course many other animals! It was amazing and we will definitely recommend him to other friends visiting Yala soon! 5.00Yala Safari was an incredible experience! We saw so much wildlife, including a sloth bear and a group of elephants. The park is beautiful and full of surprises around every corner. A must-do activity if you’re in the south of Sri Lanka

5.00Excellent. I’m glad we did the full day trip as we originally thought a half day would be enough but it wasn’t. The driver worked so hard to make the most of every minute and the way he could spot animals was almost supernatural. We saw every animal we could have possibly seen, including bears and leopards and too many elephants to count. His car was also well equipped with a winch and mud tires meaning nowhere was off limits. I can’t thank him enough for the amazing day we had.

5.00We were a party of five and went with Rangana on a day trip and could not have asked for a better guide and driver. He did an excellent job spotting the animals and bringing us safely to the best spot for some awesome pictures. He handelt some close encounters with elephants calmly and created long lasting memories. We immediately booked him for the next day as well. Next time we will go with him again!

5.00Fantastic guide, he has lots of connections and calls to get to the right spots early! Helped us get to sloth bears, we spotted lots of elephants. Overall also good English!
