A day with Max Charters is a unique way to experience the Virgin Islands. We carry fewer passengers than most charter companies in order to provide a more intimate experience. Avoid the crowd and enjoy a relaxing day in the islands!

Enjoy a full day of sailing, snorkeling, drinks, good food, and good company. On a full day sail we depart from the American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook, St. Thomas at 9:15am and return around 3:15pm. Times can be adjusted to accommodate cruise ship port times. Everything is included. For beverages we have soft drinks, bottled water, a fully stocked bar, beer and of course our Caribbean Rum punch. Lunch is based on Mediterranean style cooking. Organic grilled chicken, a Mediterranean style Orzo pasta salad plus a fruit and cheese platter. On top of this all of your snorkeling gear is included with instruction and a guide! Where to meet: We will meet at American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook at C dock right next to the Marina office. What to Bring: Sunscreen (Non Spray), towels , GRATUITY: Your crew relies on and appreciates gratuities for a job well done. The industry standard is 15% - 20% of the cost of your charter.

Four of us ( retired ages 50 to 60 ) booked a full day sail. Prior to the sail communication with Pete was very prompt and informative. Our crew was TC and Bradley. We had a great time and felt very safe and catered to. We were given the opportunity to snorkel and swim and were served food and beverages. The weather did not want to cooperate the whole time however we were asked what we wanted to do and made the most out of it. Thank you for a memorable experince!

We had a wonderful experience, excellent captain and crew very knowledgeable about the area and history. The sailing and snorkeling were the highlight of our trip. We saw turtles, sting rays, all kinds of fish. Small group, made for an enjoyable time. Drinks, fresh fruit and lunch all make for relaxing fun!
Fantastic day out on a great boat with a great crew!

We had a fantastic day out sailing and snorkeling with Captain TC and Brad. They made it so much fun, and the sailing was amazing. I can't give this enough stars! The boat, food, and crew were all above expectations.

Matt and his 2nd hand mate did a great job with being patience and informative along the voyage. The day was perfect for boating but not sailing and the captain still dropped the sail to provide me the experience I was looking for. Christmas Cove is a nice place to relax.

The entire experience was incredible. The weather wasn’t great but we were still able to snorkel. We were able to see turtles, fish, and rays. Christian and Bradley were awesome hosts/guides! They really take care of you and made the experience worth it.

I stayed in St Thomas for five days, did several day trips, and this was by far my favorite. I really enjoyed having a smaller group. Not only did we get to know our captains Zach and Brad, we also got to know the rest of the group. We went to some beautiful places, snorkeled, and had great food and drinks. Brad and Zach were amazing. I would definitely do this again and again.

The small intimate group gives you such a personal experience no other ship can provide. This was my second trip with Max Tours. I will continue to book with them for any future trip.

We had a great day sailing with Captain TC and Casey. The day was super relaxed more like going out for a day with friends. Casey did a great job helping us find all the sea animals we were hoping to see, and while some of that is luck a lot was also knowledge of the area. We would definitely book again with them. 100% would recommend.

We booked a full day sail with Max charters, and it FAR exceeded expectations! Passenger limit is six people, so we had our family of four and a very nice retired couple. First mate Casey immediately got us set up with drinks as we sailed our way out to Lovango Bay. She walked our group through how to snorkel properly (daughters' first time!) and everyone had an amazing time with numerous turtles, fish, rays, and coral. Captain took us to our next location, off of Great St. James, where we saw even more turtles, a shipwreck, and had fantastic cocktails on board. Cap'n has been in the Islands almost his whole life, and knows everything about sailing and the waters around the Virgin Islands. He even let our daughter "sail" the boat for a while! We finished up snorkeling near Pizza Pi, the floating pizza restaurant, as Casey made us an amazing, cooked-on-board lunch that was some of the best food we'd had all week. Max Charters does custom, days-long sails around the islands, and we're absolutely considering them for our next big trip to St. Thomas! Five stars, wish we were back on board right now!
