This all-day excursion takes you for a breathtaking drive along the Amalfi Coast to the picturesque hillside town of Positano (with 1 hour free time to explore on your own), then to serene Sorrento (where you'll have 1 hour free time to explore on your own), and before going back to Naples' port to the evocative ruins of Pompeii for a two-hour guided tour before returning to your ship.

Last stop: Pompeii. Pompeii is the most stunning archaeological site on the Italian Peninsula and one of the most visited. The ruins of Pompeii are an open air museum where visitors can go back in time and discover a city that had been buried in ashes until 1748. Visitors experience the city much as it existed more than 2000 years ago.
Second stop on the tour will be Sorrento (with 1 hour free time to explore on your own). Removed to the south of the upbeat urban tempos of Naples extends the Peninsula of Sorrento. This is a land where the scent of citrus fills the air and where grape vines follow the steep terrain to the edge of the sea. Breathtaking views of Mount Vesuvius and the island of Capri await you behind every bend in the road that leads you along this spectacular coast.

5.00We had an exceptional day with Enzo and our driver exploring the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii. We met our tour bus in Naples and began the scenic drive along the coast, where Enzo kept us entertained with fascinating stories and insights about the region. Our driver skillfully navigated the narrow, winding coastal roads, making the journey both safe and efficient. At our first stop in Positano, Enzo recommended using the time for refreshments and some light “window shopping,” which was the perfect way to take in the beauty of the town. We then continued on to Sorrento, where we were given ample time to shop, enjoy lunch, and explore at our own pace. After Sorrento, we traveled to Pompeii, where Enzo truly brought the experience to life. He guided us expertly through the ruins, sharing captivating stories and historical details throughout the tour. His knowledge and engaging storytelling made the ancient city incredibly memorable. We would absolutely book another tour with Enzo in the future and highly recommend him to anyone visiting the area.

3.00The places are beautiful, driver was kind and the Pompeii tour guide was great. However the trip was so rushed - 1 hour in Positano, 1.5 hours in Sorento and 2 hours in Pompei. We were back in Naples before 4:30pm. It would have been nicer to be able to spend more time in Positano and Sorrento, and stop at key locations to take panoramic pictures.

5.00One of the best excursions I have done, you are in a minbus (there were 7 of us) spacious, comfortable and the reason the tour was so great because it can cut through small roads around amalfi coast. He stops along the way for photos. Positamo and Sorrento beautiful!! The main reason we came Italy was Pompeii and it didnt disappoint- i wouldnt want to do it in summer months tho- 2 hours was enough in sun. Really amazing trip thank you Eduardo our tour guide, and Viator never fail- we have used them as an excursion company worldwide!

5.00My wife and I had an outstanding time on this tour. Vincenzo was an amazing guide, very funny and knowledgeable with fantastic recommendations and insight. Every stop was a ton of fun with great scenic shots and fun cultural experiences. Also shout out to Pietro, possibly the best driver I’ve ever had on a tour, navigating some pretty tight roads! We would 100% recommend this tour

4.00The tour guide Vicenzo was superb! He was very informative and fun to listen to. However the disappointment was having to pay for the Pompeii admission separately... Just really awkward.. Why not just include it in the upfront price?

5.00Eduardo was an amazing tour guide! He was obviously very knowledgeable and made sure we didn’t miss anything on the drive. Once we arrived at the stops he walked us through the best locations to visit and eat. He gave plenty of time for us to explore and enjoy ourselves. When we reached Pompei, we met our tour guide Andrea, who also made the experience amazing. He was engaging and answered any and all questions we had. He happily set up amazing photos for us. I highly recommend both tour guides. It was amazing and most of all they were accommodating of our 3 year old.
