This all-day excursion takes you for a breathtaking drive along the Amalfi Coast to the picturesque hillside town of Positano (with 1 hour free time to explore on your own), then to serene Sorrento (where you'll have 1 hour free time to explore on your own), and before going back to Naples' port to the evocative ruins of Pompeii for a two-hour guided tour before returning to your ship.

First stop on this trip will be Positano (with 1 hour free time to explore on your own). Positano, the most picturesque town of the Amalfi Coast resembles a waterfall cascading down to the sea. Visitors descend narrow pathways, perusing artisan workshops offering ceramics, fabled lemon products, and the distinct local style of dress.
Second stop on the tour will be Sorrento (with 1 hour free time to explore on your own). Removed to the south of the upbeat urban tempos of Naples extends the Peninsula of Sorrento. This is a land where the scent of citrus fills the air and where grape vines follow the steep terrain to the edge of the sea. Breathtaking views of Mount Vesuvius and the island of Capri await you behind every bend in the road that leads you along this spectacular coast.

5.00Meri was our tour guide and Domingo was our driver for this trip. Meri was super knowledgeable of Positano, Sorrento, and Pompeii. She gave us great recommendations and treated us like her family. Domingo was a great driver and got us to each destination safely and quickly. To top it off Meri got us the best tour guide for Pompeii. I would recommend this tour to anyone! GREAT day! Disclaimer: If you get carsick the roads are very narrow and windy, I recommend just taking some Dramamine before and you’ll be fine!

5.00The tour was great. The meeting location details were clear and our guide, Mary, was very helpful, extremely knowledgeable, and very communicative about the trips details both before and during. While we visited Positano and Sorrento, we didn’t get too much time at either location to take in the sites and culture fully. But that was to be expected based on the tour description. The tour of Pompeii was amazing! Vincenzo was the best. He was knowledgeable and his personality and humor added color to the tour of the ruins. He was also very accommodating given one of the guests was going to stay behind due to physical limitations. He encouraged her to attend and made sure she was comfortable throughout. Overall, I think it was worth the value and would recommend to others interested. My only feedback is the timing as primarily to accommodate cruise travelers. As a participant not on a cruise (we were staying at a hotel in the area) we probably would have booked a tour that offered more flexibility in how much time we’d get at each location. But again, not a decision changer.

5.00We had an amazing day on this tour! Ciro was our guide and he was great! He shared some great history and was funny and entertaining. He gave us a great lunch suggestion in Sorrento. We never felt rushed and we got to see a lot. Pompeii was really cool to see in person and our guide there was also good. We made it back to our cruise ship in plenty of time.
