This all-day excursion takes you for a breathtaking drive along the Amalfi Coast to the picturesque hillside town of Positano (with 1 hour free time to explore on your own), then to serene Sorrento (where you'll have 1 hour free time to explore on your own), and before going back to Naples' port to the evocative ruins of Pompeii for a two-hour guided tour before returning to your ship.

Last stop: Pompeii. Pompeii is the most stunning archaeological site on the Italian Peninsula and one of the most visited. The ruins of Pompeii are an open air museum where visitors can go back in time and discover a city that had been buried in ashes until 1748. Visitors experience the city much as it existed more than 2000 years ago.
Second stop on the tour will be Sorrento (with 1 hour free time to explore on your own). Removed to the south of the upbeat urban tempos of Naples extends the Peninsula of Sorrento. This is a land where the scent of citrus fills the air and where grape vines follow the steep terrain to the edge of the sea. Breathtaking views of Mount Vesuvius and the island of Capri await you behind every bend in the road that leads you along this spectacular coast.

5.00This was our first tour with Viator. The tour company called us the evening before the tour and asked to take a different tour than we originally signed up for. This was due to logistics as they were servicing several ships that day and they wanted to get us on a tour with others from our ship. We understood the logic of this move and the itinerary was similar enough we didn't have a problem with the switch. We found our guide, Ciro, and driver, Pietro, where they said they would be. Ciro was a fantastic guide. He was personable, professional and had a great sense of humor. Our tour through Pompeii was fantastic. Ciro knew how best to navigate the site, see the highlights and still avoid the crowds. He was very knowledgeable and shared a tremendous amount of historical detail with the group. Next we were off up and over the mountains to get to the coast. The drive was incredibly scenic and Ciro kept us occupied with details about local life in the area. Once we crested the top, the views of the coast and Mediterranean were spectacular. We stopped at a cliffside restaurant for a fantastic lunch and actually got to see how they make lemoncello. We continued along the coast and stopped to check out the beautiful town of Amalfi, then back to Salerno and the ship. Ciro and Pietro took amazing care of us all day and made sure our tour was one to remember. Many thanks to them for providing such a memorable day!

5.00Our guide, Mary, was incredibly organized and made sure we were on schedule all day so we could relax and enjoy the sites without worry. There was a bit of driving time between each stop but it went quickly due to a comfortable shuttle, beautiful scenery, and the wealth of information that Mary shared along the way. Our driver, Dominico, skillfully navigated the narrow streets and got us from place to place without any worries. Must see sites to visit! Our family had a very enjoyable experience - recommend!

5.00Excellent driver (Gennaro) and tour guide (Ciro). Both were very friendly and knowledgeable. The van was comfortable and there were only 18 guests on the tour (almost full van). Ciro gave a great tour of Pompeii and provided lots of information as we drove from one location to another. The price was one third of what we would have paid on a Royal Caribbean excursion. We were nervous about not using the cruise excursion but Gennaro and Ciro were prompt and had us back to the ship an hour before the all aboard deadline while also keeping the tour to eight full hours as advertised. We would definitely use this tour provider (Mondo Guide Srl) again.

5.00We covered a lot of highlights on a very busy day thanks to our outstanding guide, Mary, and fantastic driver Jennaro. We loved our time in Positano, Sorrento, and Pompeii. Of course, we would love more time in each beautiful place, but this was a perfect cruise excursion… very well-organized, excellent communication before and during the tour, etc. I would definitely use this tour company (Mondo Guide) again!

5.00We had a great day guided by Paola and driver Marco. Started down in Positano where the sights are beautiful, then back to the Sorrento coast where the markets and shopping are much more affordable but no less beautiful. We finished our tour in Pompeii and Paula was excellent in her wealth of knowledge of each site and the Italian history overall. Even with traffic arrived back before other cruise sponsored groups, Paola was a great guide

4.00Mary was patient and knowledgeable. Pedro was very careful and skillful driver. They were both excellent!!! Would have liked more time as the description read but with traffic and some people being late, it was t possible.
