This all-day excursion takes you for a breathtaking drive along the Amalfi Coast to the picturesque hillside town of Positano (with 1 hour free time to explore on your own), then to serene Sorrento (where you'll have 1 hour free time to explore on your own), and before going back to Naples' port to the evocative ruins of Pompeii for a two-hour guided tour before returning to your ship.

Last stop: Pompeii. Pompeii is the most stunning archaeological site on the Italian Peninsula and one of the most visited. The ruins of Pompeii are an open air museum where visitors can go back in time and discover a city that had been buried in ashes until 1748. Visitors experience the city much as it existed more than 2000 years ago.
Second stop on the tour will be Sorrento (with 1 hour free time to explore on your own). Removed to the south of the upbeat urban tempos of Naples extends the Peninsula of Sorrento. This is a land where the scent of citrus fills the air and where grape vines follow the steep terrain to the edge of the sea. Breathtaking views of Mount Vesuvius and the island of Capri await you behind every bend in the road that leads you along this spectacular coast.

5.00I’d give this tour company a full 5/5. This day was the clear highlight of our Italy trip. The planning support was excellent. Our coordinator (Federica) helped us design a custom private day in Pompeii and Naples, walked us through the schedule, recommended taking the high-speed train instead of a road transfer, and shared practical pacing tips for visiting with kids. Huge credit to our Pompeii walking guide (Mafalda), who made the ruins genuinely engaging for our children. She struck the right balance of fun and educational, and she handled sensitive topics thoughtfully and age-appropriately. Her energy and enthusiasm made it easy to picture what daily life in Pompeii might have been like. Our private driver (Eduardo) was also outstanding. The vehicle was spacious and spotless, and he drove safely and confidently. He shared interesting context about the areas we passed through, suggested great local food options, and even called ahead to arrange lunch. The food suggestions were spot on, including an unforgettable Neapolitan-style pizza. He also timed our drop-off at the train station perfectly for our return trip. If you’re visiting Naples and Pompeii with children, I highly recommend this company. The team we worked with made the whole day smooth, memorable, and genuinely special.

5.00Delightful day exploring Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii. Or driver, Frank, was wonderful - filled us in on so many things and even sang for us as he drove! Our guide in Pompeii was incredible! Definitely recommend this trip.

5.00My whole family agrees that Andrea gave the best tour of our entire Italy trip! He was absolutely wonderful with my kids and made the history of Pompeii come alive for all of us. Andrea shared so many fascinating stories and showed us special places that we never would have found on our own. It was truly an amazing and memorable experience. We highly recommended!

5.00This is a tour not to be missed. Vincenzo was our tour guide and driver and was prompt and very professional. We enjoyed our time with him and learning the tidbits of information he shared. The tour was perfect with just enough time at each stop. Roberta was our tour guide in Pompeii and was one of the best guides we have ever had. She provided a depth understanding of the site and was so passionate of the history and we really felt just how much she enjoyed showcasing such an iconic piece of history. We will come back to Italy just to see Roberta!

5.00Roberta was absolutely amazing!! It was like going on an adventure walk with my most knowledgeable friend. She asked what we had seen, tailored our tour to meet our desires and shared her favorite places. She also told us what to look for in the museum the following day In Naples. We could not have imagined a better experience & was definitely a trip highlight!! I will be recommending your group & Roberta to friends & family.

2.00What a waste of money. Amalfi coast 5-minute stop . Sorrento very over crowed could move . guide showed us where he would be and gave a return time .Pompeii the guide had a good knowledge but couldn't wait for the older people. Didn't give a Dam about us.

5.00We had a wonderful time and Vincenzo and our driver were excellent. The minibus was comfortable. Vincenzo was funny and informative and the highlight of the day was his tour of Pompeii. And you can’t beat the price.

5.00Our Mondo tour guide was awesome! He gave us a wonderful tour of Positano and instructed us to try the most delicious lemon croissant that I ever had in my whole life. His name is Andrea. Being a young and energetic tour guide from Mondo Tour Company, he was able to holster great enthusiasm to our small group. He injected humor into every aspect of our tour and he gave us time to eat and to purchase souvenirs and goods to take back home to the USA. Andrea's coverage of Pompeii was exceptional and his knowledge of the history of the events of Pompeii were compelling. He demonstrated a lot of patience as some of our tour members were very late finding the mini bus, however, he waited patiently for them and was very kind and polite to each and every member of our small group of tourists. On the way back to the port of Naples, he and the bus driver played some traditional music of Italy for us, which was totally terrific! This is a tour that I will always remember deep into my old age! Thank you so much Andrea of treating us to this amazing tour!
