• Impressive experience in nature

  It was one of the most beautiful experiences during our trip through Montenegro. Everything was very well organized and our guide Milos explained many things and local peculiarities to us during the trip. Arriving at the rafting site, we had breakfast for refreshment. Then we went out on the water and it was great. Even 11 degrees water temperature could not stop us from swimming a lap. After the tour we had lunch - homemade in an open outdoor kitchen. The experience in an impressive landscape may not be a cheap pleasure, but it is still worth every penny.

  It was a fun experience although I wish I would have checked the season before booking as the waters were pretty tame. It’s a bit a drive to get there but you have a few stops along the way for breaks. I’d recommend taking cash as there are some interesting bars you stop at as you go through the river and also to tip for the food and the tour guide at the end of the day. You also get some pretty good food which is well deserved after such a long day.

• Dangerous journey, and overbooked boat. Ruined trip

  Terrifying journey to the white water rafting. In a mini bus for 4 hours much of which on the wrong side of the road including whilst going round blind bends. Overtook a line of 6 cars in a no-overtaking zone. This alone ruined day as we had anxiety about the return trip. Then when we got there we’re told to wait so 2 people could join our group. This meant there wasn’t enough space on the boat for everyone to join in and not enough paddles. I was made to sit in the middle of the boat. This made it impossible to join in with the rest of the group, water was too cold to jump in and swim with others when you weren’t being active by paddling like everyone else. There were lots of other boats in the river and the only other person sitting in the middle of all these boats was a 5 year old child

  The trip was well organised and the food and guides were excellent. The disappointment was in the white water, with the water being low at the end of the summer, it was a bit tame. The water was lovely and very clear and lovely to swim in, but the excitement and adrenaline were lacking. This was not the tour or guides fault! Must come back in April/May when spring waters at their height!

  The most amazing tour guide Nadja and best skipper REM. We had an awesome group of people from Australia, America, Ireland, UK, and Europe. Everyone had an amazing time. We were in awe to see the amazing beautiful scenery surrounding the Tara river. We stopped for breakfast and started down to the opening of the river. The skipper had so much fun with us as he made the experience more interesting by stopping to explore the waterfalls in Bosnia. We then stopped for lunch which was very delicious. What an amazing adventure. This is my second year in a row coming on this tour. I definitely enjoyed it even more this year. The day we went it was my fiancés birthday. This is all he wanted to do for his birthday so we booked a trip all the way from the United States just to celebrate his 50th birthday on the Tara river.   We had a great tour guide, Nadja was very chatty and informative. Our group got on very well and the group (a mix of English, Swedish, Australian and Irish all seemed to enjoy the experience.) We had a locally made breakfast and lunch and the food was delicious! Local doughnuts and homemade jam being enjoyed by all. I had river caught trout and fresh salad, perfect fresh food. We even met up with some of the group in the evening back in kotor as we all got on so well. The rafting down the river was so beautiful and the water so perfectly clear, you will love this tour!

  Highly recommended! The trip exceeded my expectations. Slavko is like ChatGPT – he has an answer to every question and makes you feel completely taken care of. The breakfast and lunch with Montenegrin specialties brought back childhood memories of eating at my grandma’s. Delicious! Even vegetarian and vegan options were available, and individual needs were always taken into account. The guys from the rafting base do a fantastic job – every move is precise, and they are all very familiar with the river. The picturesque nature, crystal-clear and clean river water that we could drink from during the ride, and the cultural stories – all made it a wonderful experience. Thank you for everything!

  Fantastic tour - great mix of culture & activity that we all enjoyed (ages 15-53!). Fantastic guide who did everything he could to make the trip enjoyable & informative.
