  Bruce was very knowledgeable and the wineries we visited were all very hospitable and knowledgeable about the region . Lunch was amazing and it was a very relaxing experience.

  We had a lovely experience with Bruce, we were lucky enough to get him to ourselves for the whole day. He showed us many great wineries and his knowledge was great not only about the wines and vineyards but also about the local agriculture and biodiversity of the region which was very interesting. He also was kind enough to give us recommendations for dinner and drinks afterwards and dropped us off at that location. Would definitely recommend for a nice day in Blenheim!

  Good tour guide, we saw at other tours that the driver stayed in the car further, but Bruce knew quite a bit to tell us and showed us some of the trees between the groves.

  Thanks John for leading us and two other couples, through a wonderful day’s wine tasting on Thursday 16th October. Simple facts of being driven on a sunny day around 5 wineries for tasting and lunch and then a chocolate factory to finish us off, suggest a great day, which it was. What made it a really special day were the people we met. The other couples were great fun, the teams hosting the tastings, especially at Spy and Whitehaven, were up for a bit of banter. And all this was facilitated by John who gave us great insights into NZ, Marlborough and the wine industry; a really interesting guy whose only objective was to give us the best time - which he did - all whilst managing to keep us on time and in line. Thanks John! Highly recommend.

  Had a fantastic day on this tour! The tastings and lunch were excellent with beautiful scenery along the way. John made the whole experience so enjoyable with both his knowledge and chat, really appreciated the effort he put in.

  Bruces communication prior to pick up was excellent, once we had been picked up he was very informative and interaction was excellent We stopped at 5 cellar doors which were in close proximity to Blenheim so not too much driving around, lunch at Saint Clair was delicious What we particularly liked was that Bruce had a very good knowledge of the area and in particular the wine growing processes. He also chipped in with little nuggets of information that enhanced the actual tasting experiences.

  Took a friend on a 2-week whirlwind tour of South & North Islands, this was how we explored wine country. Our guide picked us up right on schedule, took us to some great places we wouldn’t have known about otherwise, and provided cheerful company & commentary all along the way.

  My tour was originally booked with Jade Tours. Unfortunately, when I emailed to confirm pick up time I received a reply saying that due to a mechanical problem with the minibus the tour had been transferred to another company, Discovery Wine Tours. I was sceptical about the reason, suspecting that we were the only ones booked and had been offloaded onto another company. However, I received an email from Jade offering to pick me up and visit a winery I particularly wanted to go to, in the person's own car, half way through the Discovery Wine Tours trip, returning me to the tour after this diversion. Whatever the reason for Jade Tours reassigning me to another company, I could not fault this offer. I did not take Jade Tours up on the offer,but appreciated their efforts to rectify the late notice disappointment I had felt. As it turned out, the Discovery Wine Tours day out was exceptional. There were only six of us on the bus, our driver, Chris, was friendly, informative and entertaining, and the other two couples, one from Denmark and the other from Australia,were great company. We visited five wineries in all, the highlight being the visit to Gibson Bridge. We stopped for lunch( at Saint Clair vineyard) and we had the sharing platter. This was excellent, and very good value at NZD76. The whole day was relaxed, we visited some fabulous wineries, mostly smaller, less well known places, and were treated to some excellent wines. Chris was a lovely host, and the atmosphere, thanks to the company of the other couples on the day, was brilliant. A wonderful day out, educational, entertaining, and just great fun.
