Itinerary:

1. Begin with pickup from your hotel in Amman, then travel to Umm Qais (also known as Gadara) one of the most brilliant ancient Greco-Roman cities of the Decapolis.

2. Continue to the ancient city of Jerash, a Bronze Age settlement where you’ll find Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Artemis, and the Forum, a sprawling oval plaza surrounded by 160 Ionic columns. Learn how the city rose alongside a Greek federation of 10 cities, then lived through Christian and Muslim rule before falling during the Crusades

3. Make a final stop at Ajloun Castle, a 12th-century Muslim castle built on the remains of a historic monastery. Hear how this fortress helped defend against Crusader attacks, fell to Mongol invaders, then was finally rebuilt by the Mamluks. Climb into a tower for views of the Jordan Valley to the Dead Sea.

4. Return to your hotel in Amman.

Omran himself was my driver for the day and not only is he an excellent driver but he also has a boundless knowledge of all things related to travel in Jordan. But more than that, his atttention to detail and the care he took that everything was perfect were beyond my highest expectations. He bought us coffee, cold water and food so we would be comfortable throughout the trip. The stories he shared gave us a greater insight into the Jordanian way of life. After an unforgettable day, my only regret is that we didn’t ask him and his team to organize our entire 8 day tour of Jordan. In short, I recommend Omran and his team at Jordan-Car-And-Driver.com most highly for organizing day trips and longer tours (with driver or self-drive)! You couldn’t be in better hands.

The driver came right on time to pick us from the hotel, the car was very clean and we even got free wifi in the car all the trip. We payed for the full day tour but before Jerash we got a surprise extra stop to Tell Mar Elias (birth place of St. Elijah) which was also very interesting. Our driver was very professional and very helpful. He recomanded us a good restaurant for lunch in Jerash (very good and plenty of food at a decent price) which we surely would have never spotted without his help. A great day! We made a good choice!

I had the best driver ever. He was really good. 10 stars out of 10. Unfortunately I do not remember his name. Much to see and I enjoyed the whole time. Very happy that I had the opportunity to visit these 3 sites. Can absolutely recommend this trip.

Private transportation to several of the major attractions in Jordan. This is not a guided tour but you can hire guides at the sites if you feel it’s necessary. The vehicle and the drive was comfortable and I felt I had plenty of time to see everything. I did think this was slightly expensive but because of my short stay, I didn’t feel like shopping around.

Highly recommended trip with Jordan Day Tour and More Five stars for Moumther, my private driver, an over helpful man (during the trip, he invites me water, Turkish coffee, grapes...) He gave me, during the long journeys along Jordanian roads, practical and historical information. Omran, agency manager, called me twice to make sure everything was going well and that it was to my satisfaction Definitively recommended.
