Huacachina is a desert oasis in Southern Peru, located approximately 4 hours south of Lima. It is located just 10 minutes away from downtown Ica, a small city on the coast. It is a small lagoon surrounded by palm trees and gigantic sand dunes, similar to those seen in the Sahara Desert in Africa.

5.00What an amazing day we have in Huacachina. We started the experience going to the dunes in buggy ride, then we tried going down on the board. What an incredible experience full of adrenaline. Thanks to Rafa, he is an awesome teacher, super friendly that makes us being confident. Fully recommended experience for any person.

5.00Experience with Alfonso was very professional yet personable and friendly. Was able to learn more Spanish and practice my Spanish with Alfonso as well. He was able to answer all of our questions and keep us informed about where we were traveling and the times we’d be leaving and arriving. The sandboarding experience itself was very cool and very scenic. As an experienced snowboarder it was a little easier for me but still a different feel that was challenging yet enjoyable. Would recommend Alfonso’s services and this experience to anyone!

5.00The views were amazing! Eros was great with his English, driving, explaining the sandboarding. Our group had a wide range of experience levels with snowboarding and everyone had a blast. would definitely recommend this experience with anyone who wants to try sandboarding out.
