Palma de Mallorca
The excursion to the caves of Mallorca starts by picking you up at your hotels or a pick up point nearby. Once everyone is onboard our guide will give information about what to expect during the day and the itinerary you will be following. The guide will also be sharing useful information as well as interesting facts, not only about Mallorca's caves but also about the places we will be passing by during our journey. As we head towards the East Coast of the island you will see a different and more traditional authentic side of the island in comparison with the more modern south. It is in the East Coast where we will find both the the Caves of Drach and Caves of Hams.
Montuiri
On our way to the Caves we will venture through Montuïri, famous for its windmills! Historically linked to cereal and flour production, and it presents an important combination of culture, heritage and tradition. Our guide will provide you with some interesting facts and history on this authentic side of the island!

Cave of Hams is really boring. You walk through a tiny space that is really crowded, and see some uninteresting formations. Drach cave was amazing!

The Caves do not disappoint, they are very beautiful, they are both worth the visit, although frankly without running they can be done in half a day, but... there it is. The complaint is about the price of 81.50 per person including food. They took us to a Toñi restaurant, which is about 200m away. From Majorica's shop. The food was vomiting and believe me I'm sorry, lentils with hot water and coloring, 2nd a pork baked, dry and with dark water, painful. Don't mislead people, take them out for a Franfur and you'll be better off and no one with a chance of getting intoxicated. I know they won't listen, but they should change the restaurant.

Great shopping along the route to the caves. However didn't appreciate being stranded after we got to Palma. We were picked up at Porto Pi and dropped off some place else where we had to find our way back to where we were picked up

The trip was advertised by the agents as an interesting trip which I cannot say it wasnt. However on arrival your were stood waiting in a big que, the coach trip was lenghly as picking other passengers up.on the way. The representative spoke so many langues you had passed most things by the time she got to English, and this went on form 90% of the journey ? I think most people zoned out in the end. On arrival yu were told there were so many steps, which in purchasing no one mentioned steps steep declines or inclines so for thise with disabilities this trip is a definate challenge and I would say not one to be taken, i suffer osteoarthritis and it challenged me immensley so be advised before booking for this. The caves themselves were a wonder of the world but felt once in you ushered through the walks ways way too quickly and the members of staff not very welcoming or helpful. Once you reach the autiorium dont expect to get on a boat dissapointing, you are ushersd up more steps to seating for the classical concert performed by an orchestra in one boat with lights which was also dissapointing as lasted 5-10 minutes. As soon as that is finished people rush forward to get on the boats which there are only three and the rest of you walk the bridge up a steep climb to exit. For me a totally dissapointing experience. So please ask when booking of you have physical needs how this will challenge you ! Ticked off thr bucket list but a dissapointing one!

You have to get the tickets online, and that makes access easier and faster. There is food in the surrounding area, if you don't want to bring your sandwich. They are very beautiful caves, different from many.

A visit to this cave is definitely worthwhile. There is a guided tour almost every hour. You should avoid the weekend, as many locals visit this attraction then. In many places in the long cave you can see breathtaking structures formed by the stalactites. At the end you sit on a grandstand and watch a boat with musicians passing by playing four classical pieces. The acoustics are a really great experience. If you have patience, you will be taken to the exit by boat. Another positive thing to mention is that the prices at the attached snack bar are still moderate. Definitely a recommended trip.
