Sit back and enjoy the scenery and the experience as we take care of the driving in one of our comfortable and spacious Mercedes Benz 12, 15 or 17-seater vehicles. We will visit and taste wines at the cellars of 2 West Auckland vineyards plus stop for lunch at another vineyard for a delicious 3-course lunch and a complimentary wine, beer or juice.
Assemble a group of a minimum of 10 Adults and make this a day to sip, savour and remember and let us personally guide and drive you around the Kumeu Wine Trail. Our tour will visit 3 of the finest vineyards, steeped in history, from the Wineries Out West. You will get the opportunity, amongst others, to taste award winning Sparkling Muscat, Rose, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Albarino, Montepulciano, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Lagrein, Cabernet Sauvignon.
This is a small group tour for that intimate and personal experience guided by a knowledgeable guide who will handle the logistics and navigation.

The Hunting Lodge Winery & Restaurant
The Hunting Lodge is a winery based in the heart of Auckland’s Wine Country with a rich heritage and a youthful spirit. It is the place where the Spence brothers, founders of the Matua Vineyard, created the first New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Driven to do things a little differently and keep the spirit of innovation alive, The Hunting Lodge wine range not only showcases the best wine regions in the country but also captures the spirit of New Zealand’s pioneering nature in wine – the search for something new and interesting. They also have a slightly unconventional contemporary style in terms of packaging and design. Each illustration that makes up the label represents a certain aspect of their site and winemaking process.
Soljans Estate Winery
Over 80 years ago, the first delicate grapevine was planted in a West Auckland field. That grapevine grew into the Soljan family winery that is still standing today .In fact, very few wineries in New Zealand can claim to have a prouder winemaking heritage than Soljans. They are the third oldest winery in New Zealand that is still owned and operated by the original family. Five continuous generations have been involved in wine making. This is our lunch stop for a delicious 3 course vineyard lunch with a glass of wine, of your choosing, included in our tour price.

5.008 of us did the West Auckland wine tasting tour - highly recommended. Each vineyard provided lots of information on their wines and provided a good selection to taste. The lunch at Soljans was delicious. A shout out to Gary at Westbrook and Matt our driver for lots of fun and laughter.

5.00Dave, our knowledgable tour guide, made our day more enjoyable with his easy-going manner, keeping us entertained with his stories as well as a running commentary of everything around us. The staff at all the vineyards were friendly, and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We were pleasantly surprised by what we found so close to home, We will be back. Thank you.

5.00I chose this wine tour because I thought it was very good value for money. You get picked up in the city centre and dropped off there again at the end of the day. The lunch that is included was superb. A full size main and dessert, which were both excellent.

Even if you have never tried wine before like myself this was an amazing experience I took my mother, mother in law and aunty out for an early mother's day gift and couldn't have been more happier. I am definitely going on this same your again plus all the others our next one we are lining up is the urban cray beer tour ❤️ I also wanted to mention our absolutely accommodating tour guide David we need more people like you in this world you were funny accommodating made us feel very welcomed and just easy to be around I was thinking there was a certain standard but no it was soooo relaxed chilled and definitely an amazing experience to remeber. 5.00What a great way to celebrate a birthday. The drive to the vineyards took us by a forest and some country bucolic scenery. Our guide was very helpful and informative. The staff at the wineries explained the subtleties of their various wines and how to pair the wine with various foods. Thank you to all involved. The Hunting Lodge wine was so delicious! It's a great tour to do and discover west Auckland.

5.00Wonderful day tasting wine in Kumeu with Dave as our tour guide. We went to three different wineries with a beautiful three course lunch at Soljans. The whole day was perfectly organised, Dave was very knowledgeable of the local wines and everything was delicious. I highly recommend this tour and would love to do it again.
