An adventure of a lifetime - white water rafting the Zambezi River

5.00We started the new year off on the white water rafting experience with Maano Adventures. No amount of research and expectation could match what we were going to experience. From the moment we were fetched, the adventures began. We were fetched from out Hotel by Enoch and the gentlemen we were going to spend the majority of out day with. All such humble, fierce, brave men who just gave you reassurance that you are in good hands. Upon arrival, we were explained fully on what the day was going to be like, all the safety regulations to follow, and how to paddle and venture through the rapids when we start the rafting. We walked to the Mighty Zambezi River with these gentlemen who shared about their lives whilst enquiring about oure - this really builds the trust before the adventure! Once we got into the raft, we were taken through a few practical instructions and examples which really helped prepare us. And then the adventures began!!! Nothing can prepare your mind for the intensity shared with gentleman who just make you feel safe in very extreme adventure conditions! We went through 14 insane rapids, captained by Enoch and 4 gentleman who have the intuition, experience and understanding of the Mighty Zambezi. Each rapid is different, each requiring different guidance and instruction by Enoch, each so fiercely and well handled. After each one, the team celebrates together with such unity. To find the words to explain this is truly difficult and such experience can only be remembered with the most fondest memory. We were given water along the way when needed and safety jackets and helmets were always checked on to ensure safety. After 2 - 3 hours plus of battling the rapids, we had a journey back up to the vehicle we arrived with, returned all our belongings, bags, shoes, passports etc which were so safely kept by the team in container storage, and presented with a full hearty lunch and ice cold beverages (which you really need). All I can say is, what an experience! And to have done it with this Team of Maano Adventures was an experience of a lifetime!!! From speaking to further tourists, none of the other service providers offered such an experience to them. To say we are grateful that we went with Maano Adventures would be an understatement!!! Following the trip, we were supplied with photos and a well put together and edited video of approximately 15 minutes of our adventure to share with our loved ones and to keep as one of life's best memories! As a female with not much experience in extreme adventures like this, I felt safe, taken care of, and so humbled to have met and spent this experience with Enoch and his team!!! I will forever remember these guys! I cannot recommend this Team to share this adventure with enough. Thank you Maano Adventures for an adventure of a lifetime! 5.00Enoch was great. He helped create the perfect experience for our family of nine. This was our fifth trip to Livingstone, but our first rafting experience. It is definitely on our do-again list -- and definitely with Enoch and his incredible team. Rafting is the by far the best adventure activity in Livingstone -- and we've done Devil's Pool, Angel's Pool, bungee, and zip line. Cannot recommend Maano Adventures highly enough.

5.00What an incredible experience. We went as a group of 9 with ages ranging from 10 years to 75 years of age. The main reason we booked with Maano was due to them being one of the only companies who take children, and safety was a big factor from the outset with Enock and his team. We did the lower rapids 15-25 due to the water levels and the fact we had the younger ones and elderly, but these were still awesome! We felt very comfortable from the outset, and the experience was unforgettable. Would highly recommend Maano adventures and would be sure to book again if we ever come back to Zambia.

5.00The whole team was friendly, professional and always ready to help. Everything was well organised and whenever we had a question or small issue, they handled it immediately. Safety was clearly a priority and you could tell they genuinely wanted us to enjoy the experience. Highly recommended!

5.00Thank you to Enoch for an amazing day out with the family From 12 to 74 Everything was designed to meet the needs of the individuals in the whole group, advising what would be appropriate and what would be overwhelmed Having taken his advice we had an incredible adventure and I would happily recommend this firm to care for you ensuring your safety and needs It must be noted that this is the Zambezi River and it is at the bottom of a gorge and access is by foot. Saying this the staff are amazingly patient and allow time for individuals to get up and down.

5.00The rafting experience was really nice and a lot of fun. The guides were professional and made everything feel safe, but still exciting. The river was beautiful, the rapids were enjoyable, and the whole activity was well organized. A great experience overall and definitely something I would recommend.

5.00Absolutely amazing experience on the Zambezi! The rafting was adrenaline-packed and so much fun, but what really made it special were the guides. They were incredibly professional, calm, and genuinely helpful every step of the way — making us feel safe while still letting us fully enjoy the adventure. The experience was more than just rafting: we also got to hike through stunning scenery and see local villages along the way, which added a beautiful cultural and human touch to the day. If you’re anywhere near Victoria Falls, this is a must-do. One of the highlights of our trip!

5.00It was an amazing trip with a lot of fun. We are not fit and sporty and could easily do this. The guides were very well organised and we felt safe for the entire trip. The hardest part was the walk up the gorge after the rafting. The crew carries everything for you,so they really try to make it as comfortable as possible.
