Embark on a exhilarating adventure near the beautiful Carite State Forest located only 45 minutes from San Juan. Your guide will provide you and your small-group with interesting historical facts about the Taino Indian heritage as well as the sugar cane industry as you drive by valleys and plantation ruins. You will zipline 3 different lines, rappel 80 feet down the gorgeous El Salto Waterfall and enjoy a home cooked meal in a beautiful mountain setting. Due to size restrictions on our harnesses and other technical equipment, we have a maximum weight limit of 220 pounds, which needs to be relative to the participant's height.

Due to uneven and slippery terrain, wading in moving water, standing near steep ledges and cliffs and hiking over sustained hills; this tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair
The supplier reserves the right to cancel or limit your participation based on your physical condition. If this happens at the last minute due to an undisclosed medical or physical condition you will not be entitled to a refund.
Due to the nature of this tour and the safety of all guests, the tour operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication. If, as a result, your tour is canceled, you will not be entitled to a refund.

Fast dry apparel is recommended.
Closed-toe hiking sandals are recommended, if you do not own a pair, an old pair of sneakers or water shoes also work.
At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking: ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time, as well as what time zone your cruise ship will be using; i.e. Eastern Standard Time, Atlantic Standard Time, Central Mountain Time, etc.
Puerto Rico is on Atlantic Standard Time and may be one to two hours ahead of your cruise ship's time schedule, especially during Daylight Saving, when clocks are set back one hour.
Please be sure to verify what time zone your cruise ship will be using before reserving.
Refunds will not be issued if tour/activity is missed due to late arrival of cruise ship

From your hotel in San Juan, Condado or Isla Verde, your guides will pick you up in a club wagon van and take you on a 45 minute drive to your destination, located atop a beautiful mountain range near the city of Caguas. After a quick restroom stop, where you will also have the opportunity to buy any last minute snacks, you will continue on your drive to your tour site as you enjoy the mountain scenery and lifestyle. Once you arrive, your guides will provide you with a helmet and harness and provide you with a brief introduction. You will then start hiking uphill to reach the river trail, where the actual nature adventure begins. Before entering the forest, the guides will give the group a detailed safety talk to prepare you for the upcoming activities. The first part of the adventure consists of an upriver hike through a spring water river and forest, where you will get to also climb up river waterfalls and hills using secured ropes until you reach the top of the El Salto Waterfall. Once you arrive at the rappel station, your guides will give you detailed instruction on how to rappel down the waterfall using secure specialized rappelling equipment. After the group has descended the waterfall you will hike down river until you reach the ziplines, a total of 5, which will take you back to where you started the forest hike. Once the group is back at base camp, you will be given the opportunity to change into your dry clothes. From here it is just a short walk to “Grandma’s” house, where you will get to sit down and enjoy a delicious home cooked meal. You are usually back in San Juan between 3 and 4pm, depending on the group size, speed and traffic conditions.

5.00Pickup was easy in San Juan. The guides were all very friendly and clearly love their home so much! A short hike upstream leads you to a tall and gorgeous waterfall where you will rappel. Three fun zip lines will take you back to the beginning. At this point you will enjoy a delicious home cooked Puerto Rican meal before heading back to the city!

5.00What an amazing adventure from start to finish!! Truly the highlight of our trip and the best adventure tour we have ever been on! From the adventurous hike, to rappelling down a waterfall, to the zip lines and ending with a delicious meal, the entire tour was incredible! Diego and his fantastic crew are wonderful and always keep your safety in mind! Can’t wait to come back and do it all over again in the future!!

5.00Saely, Diego, and Javier were knowledgeable and capable guides. This group is a local family in Caguas who operates an amazing and exciting tour through their beautiful private land. Complete with a home cooked meal from abuela, this experience is worth your time and money! The hiking, rappelling, and zip lining were moderately challenging, but fine for a family to participate.

I recommend this to anyone who is adventurous and risk free! it’s definitely not for someone who is afraid of heights. 5.00This is the second time that I've done the waterfall rappelling tour with Rocaliza in the last 3 years. I will absolutely book a third time on return trip in the future. Waterfall rappelling is not something that is offered by many companies (in Puerto Rico or anywhere in the carribean for that matter) so it's a very unique and special excursion with very experienced and personable guides. Obviously this is for adventurous and reasonably fit participants. The hike to the top of the waterfall was steep and challenging in places but fairly straightforward to the adventurous in spirit. We had a great time and the meal afterward is excellent as well. Loved having the pups escort us part of the way up the hill! Hope to see Sally and Diego again soon!

5.00The best experience we had in Puerto Rico. We had a family of 6. The hike was more challenging that we expected, however totally worth it for the waterfall and Zipline. The lunch was delicious. The guides were so fantastic to work with.

Travelling alone, the guides made every effort to make me feel included and ensure that I got great photos of the experience too. It had everything and more - hiking, scrambling, abseiling, zip wires and Grandmas lunch at the end of it - delicious home cooked food. Highly recommend
