From your hotel in San Juan, Condado or Isla Verde, your guides will pick you up in a club wagon van and take you on a 45 minute drive to your destination, located atop a beautiful mountain range near the city of Caguas. After a quick restroom stop, where you will also have the opportunity to buy any last minute snacks, you will continue on your drive to your tour site as you enjoy the mountain scenery and lifestyle. Once you arrive, your guides will provide you with a helmet and harness and provide you with a brief introduction. You will then start hiking uphill to reach the river trail, where the actual nature adventure begins. Before entering the forest, the guides will give the group a detailed safety talk to prepare you for the upcoming activities. The first part of the adventure consists of an upriver hike through a spring water river and forest, where you will get to also climb up river waterfalls and hills using secured ropes until you reach the top of the El Salto Waterfall. Once you arrive at the rappel station, your guides will give you detailed instruction on how to rappel down the waterfall using secure specialized rappelling equipment. After the group has descended the waterfall you will hike down river until you reach the ziplines, a total of 5, which will take you back to where you started the forest hike. Once the group is back at base camp, you will be given the opportunity to change into your dry clothes. From here it is just a short walk to “Grandma’s” house, where you will get to sit down and enjoy a delicious home cooked meal. You are usually back in San Juan between 3 and 4pm, depending on the group size, speed and traffic conditions.

Diego, Sally and Sammy were amazing guides. I was nervous about if I could keep up. I think if you make it over that first upward hill, you’re good. It was also fun getting to know the other people in our group. Beautiful views and amazing food from grandma. Went with my teen and it was a wonderful experience.

This was a wonderful experience, repelling down the waterfall was awesome! The zip lines were great. All the workers were awesome, and they even took time with me and encouraged me very much, of course, the walk was hard to get up there on the cement. But once you got out of the sun, it was perfect. Would recommend this to everyone! Love abuela's food and flan. Thank you!

You need to be in good physical shape. It is a difficult climb. The guides are fantastic. The scenery is beautiful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is in good physical condition. The repelling was my favorite part. It was so fun and beautiful and the guides made it even more fun.

This was such a fun experience! Diego was super friendly and he educated our group about the plants and nature of the forest. He made sure to prioritize safety when it came to zip lining and repelling, I never once felt unsafe. The hike up was nice as well as they have rope lining the trail to assist you heading up. And after all the fun we had a delicious meal at the end with the best coconut flan! 10/10 would recommend!

We had a great time with our guides in this whole day adventure including a lunch home cooked by abuela! Very fun adventure, doable for most, and exciting to go rappelling which we had never done before, but they made us feel super safe during!

We had to cancel our adventure due to a motorcycle accident. The team was incredibly gracious and processed our refund quickly with no hassle. Their kindness during a tough time was much appreciated. I’d book with them again without hesitation. Highly recommended!
