Join an authentic Arctic adventure as you take the reins and drive your own team of dogs through the stunning landscapes outside Tromsø. Dog sledding has been a traditional way to travel and hunt across the Arctic for centuries, and now you can experience it for yourself.
Your guide will teach you how to handle the sled and offer helpful tips so you can enjoy every moment as a musher—connecting with nature, the dogs, and the thrill of the Arctic wilderness.
You’ll meet friendly Alaskan huskies, each with unique names and personalities, who love to run and welcome plenty of cuddles. As you glide across open tundra and through snow-covered forests, you’ll feel the bond between you and the dogs grow stronger.
During the day, you’ll admire breathtaking views of the Lyngen Alps, and in the darker months, you may witness the northern lights dancing in the sky above. Two people share each sled, and you’ll have the chance to switch positions and take memorable photos along the route.

The dog sledding was fun and just a little intimidating!

5.00These dogs were so excited to run that before we were unhitched they were jumping straight up and down like popcorn! Our family had a great experience, however we were all a little intimidated by the strength of the dog team. We spent a lot of time pressing the brake to keep the pups from catching the team ahead of us. Since it was polar night, we were sledding at mid day in the absolute darkness with head lamps! Crazy. At the end we got to snuggle and love on our sled team. At the end we enjoyed coffee and snacks while our guide gave us a talk (and answered questions) about the dogs, the farm, and dog sledding.

5.00A very fun experience. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. Instructions were clear, had no problem "driving" the sled. Provided jumpsuits and boots kept us warm for the entire ride. The only negative was the bus returning late to take us back to town. Other than that would definitely recommend this tour.

5.00The experience was amazing and the operator Norwegian Traveller made it very enjoyable from timely shuttle from Tromso, to swift outfit change to warm snow suits to spectacular ride through the snow with magnificent views and fun dog ride and finally to very informative yet humour filled talk afterwards. We really enjoyed the trip and how we were made part of this very exciting experience for the entire family. Thank you!!!
