Your Hands-On Jewelry Experience

Join us to start your journey by first learning the crucial difference between fake and genuine gemstones. Next, you'll witness, and even assist, as raw silver is melted down in the small furnace—a truly traditional spectacle. You will then get hands-on, using traditional tools to measure, shape, and hammer the silver into your desired design before moving on to the intricate steps of soldering and finishing. The experience was truly wonderful. We were welcomed so warmly, learned a great deal about the work and ring making process, and the rings are simply beautiful. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience. ☺️

Me and my sister went to this workshop this morning, it was lovely to meet the jewellery makers and their family and to be welcomed into their family home.

We spent a very interesting afternoon at Senu Jewlery’s workshop. When we carried we were tread to some very tasty snacks prepare by Prabhath’s mother and made to feel very welcome. He showed us the style of rings we could make and the different types of gems we could use. If you wish to take them home with you, you have to pay for the materials and gem bit the pricing is all very clear and explained at the start. We then went to the workshop and were shown step by step how to make our rings. You have an expert craftsman with you all the time and they help and guide you through the process - stepping in when they need to! It was a fantastic experience and one I totally recommend. You end up with a beautiful piece of jewellery you made yourself!

It was a fantastic workshop! You receive a warm welcome from the family; they are all incredibly hospitable. You're greeted with a cup of tea and Sri Lankan treats. Meanwhile, you can choose a stone. Afterward, you can go to the "factory" to create your piece of jewelry with a master craftsman. Afterward, we were even invited to join them for curry, which was so much fun!

During our holiday we made our own silver rings here. My partner and I both found it a really wonderful experience. You are warmly welcomed and everyone is incredibly friendly, so the three hours flew by. And in the end, we came away with two beautiful rings!
