This unforgettable day tour departs Galway at 9:00 AM, travelling by coach along the scenic Wild Atlantic Way and through the rocky limestone landscape of the Burren to the charming village of Doolin. From there, take the express ferry to Inisheer, the smallest and most traditional of the Aran Islands. Explore a 10th-century castle ruin, a sunken church, a shipwreck, and a peaceful beach. Walk the island’s quiet boreens or rent a bike or pony & trap for a more immersive experience (extra cost).
After your island adventure, the ferry returns to Doolin and continues with a spectacular cruise beneath the towering Cliffs of Moher, a truly unique view of one of Ireland’s most iconic natural landmarks. Prefer not to cruise? You can disembark at Doolin Pier and wait for the group.
Next, enjoy a traditional Irish pub meal (not included), then spend an hour exploring the top of the Cliffs and admire the vista.
We return to Galway via the stunning coastal route, arriving back around 7:30 PM.

Bring a rain coat and waterproof shoes. If you are prone to seasick, don't forget Dramamine. It was fantastic, both the bus drive and the ferry ride and time on Inis Oir. Bus driver Anthony was just amazing and wonderful. Great day!

We were definitely disappointed about the weather and not able to go by ferry. However, once on the bus our bus driver Tommy had us all laughing and enjoying the ride. A beautiful countryside trip and breathtaking views at the cliffs!

Wow, we could not have had a more perfect experience than with Galway Tour Company. Patrick was the most fantastic guide! Very nice and knowledgeable—we certainly learned a lot! Lunch at McGann’s Pub in Doolin was a great way to warm up, and the rain and fog cleared up just in time to have a nice view of the cliffs of Moher! (that wind will get ya though!) If you can, take bikes around Inis Oírr - it was the highlight of our trip! Dress warmly, and prepare for crazy and unpredictable weather! A big thanks to Patrick for making this an unforgettable trip. 100/10 recommend!

THIS is the tour you want to do to see the Cliffs of Moher. Easy meet up in Galway that led to an excellent driver/tour guide who gave us sooo much history and information along the entire trip. We lucked out with the most perfect weather! The fairy to Aran islands was quick and scenic. We choose to rent e-bikes on the island (extra 40£ but so worth it). The e bikes made it possible to see so much more of the island in the time we had (and helped us up the hills)! We even had time for a snack and beer at a pub. In early March, not everything is open on the island but that’s ok because we used all our time to see the sites. The cruise back then took us over to the base of the cliffs. We even saw dolphins!!! Simply amazing! It is a bit choppy, even on the nice day we got. After the cruise, it was time for food. A stop at McGran’s in Doolin. Incredibly fast and efficient for serving 55 people at once! Then off to the top of the cliffs. By this time of the day it had gotten overcast and a bit drizzly. But with one hour we felt like we had plenty of time to hike up, see the cliffs (and tower), and even had time for the visitor center and some shopping. Saw even more amazing things on the way back before it got dark.

It was a long day, but a very fun experience if you're up to it. The weather conditions might not be ideal for viewing the cliffs

Our driver David was the best with helpful advice and entertaining stories. To see the Cliffs from both the water and the land was great. Highly recommend the donkey cart tour on Inisheer. Stopping at McGanns Pub for lunch was perfect.

I had such a wonderful time on this tour! Tommy was an incredibly knowledgeable guide who kept us all entertained but also informed us about Irish history relating to the area where we were traveling. He had such a wealth of stories and jokes and everyone was engaged the entire time. Everything was clearly laid out and I felt like the amount of time we spent on the islands, in Doolin, and at the cliffs was just perfect to experience everything. Even as a solo traveler I had a great time and felt included and connected to the group. I really can't recommend this trip enough.
