  If you’re looking for a nature-rich, off-the-beaten-path experience along Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast, this tour is an absolute gem! We began the day with dolphin watching aboard the “Reggie Boat.” On the way out, we enjoyed stunning views of the coastal landscape, where rainforest meets the turquoise sea. One of the most rewarding moments was spotting a mother dolphin with her calf — a magical sight that set the tone for the rest of the adventure. On the return, we stopped at Monkey Point for a refreshing swim before continuing on to the Gandoca–Manzanillo National Wildlife Refuge. There, our guide Shailo led us on an incredible hike through the reserve. The trail is rustic but manageable, winding through lush forest terrain with occasional roots, rocks, and gentle climbs. Shailo was outstanding — deeply knowledgeable about the area’s flora, fauna, and coastal ecosystem, and passionate about conservation. He was patient with questions, eager to share local stories, and helped us spot a wide variety of wildlife and plants that we would have easily missed on our own. Overall, this tour perfectly blends marine adventure, rainforest hiking, and authentic local insight.   This was one of the best tours I have done in Costa Rica. We were so incredibly lucky to see so many dolphins and then we got to visit a beautiful beach spot with fresh fruit followed by a short hike. Shailo is an amazing tour guide with so much knowledge and experience that meant I learned a lot during the tour. His enthusiasm and kind, friendly nature made the tour even better.   Such a perfect day exploring the area. Delicious fruit, a beautiful boat ride and swim. Followed by a neat hike through the jungle.
