This is a short tour by bus around some of the main attractions of Dunedin. It is aimed at cruise ship passengers but anyone can participate so long as it is a cruise ship day.

The tour stops at all locations mentioned with a chance to get off and have a walk around.

Comfortable vehicles and a commentary is provided.

A full refund will be offered if at the conclusion of the tour the customer is dissatisfied with any part of the experience that is within the operator's control so long as the issue is raised first with the operator before any third party. (Subject to tripadvisor complying with operator request)

Duration: 4 hours: Leaving at 9.45 and 10.30 from Port Chalmers or if ship comes in later about an hour after the ship docks. Returns at 1.45-3

Craig was excellent! He was funny and knowledgeable. The tour was a very good value and we learnt a lot about Dunedin. Can’t recommend the tour enough.

We can only comment on the trip we had with driver Craig. Although there was an issue with what appeared to be overbooking when people joined after the first stop, overall this did not impact on our 5* rating. Craig handled this as well as he could and in a polite manner. Once resolved, he continued the tour with enthusiasm and a friendly disposition. He obviously loves what he does and that is very evident. We visited all the highlights of Dunedin without being rushed and were given a good ongoing commentary along the way. We were picked up and dropped off at the cruise terminal in Port Chalmers, inside the terminal building making it all very easy.

Would have been a 5 had it not been for a bumpy start! Upon returning to the bus following our first stop, we were informed by our driver (Craig) that 4 people would need to move to a second bus because there were suddenly not enough seats - how could that happen? It turned out well because our new driver, Damon, was a much better guide! He was born in Dunedin and shared amazing information and stories about his beautiful city. Started the tour with a traditional greeting, and wove in both indigenous culture and modern history. We appreciated that, in contrast to the first driver, he avoided sharing a lot of extraneous personal information and off-color commentary. Damon was clearly focused on giving his passengers a great experience!

Andrew our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and professional. The tour was excellent value 3 to 4 hours in total and perfect for travellers wanting an overview of the main sights of Dunedin in a restricted timeframe. Highly recommend

Just completed the Dunedin tour with Craig from Explore NZ. 5 stars!! He was organised, punctual, knowledgeable about all things 'Dunedin' being a long time local. He had some great stories and was supremely entertaining. Great tour, would recommend highly 👌
