In this workshop you will not only learn about how to make your own unique piece of handicraft, but you will also take it home with you!

Moreover, you will pick your own unique piece or pieces of leather and will combine them in any style you want. This makes every piece unique and totally meets the wishes of every guest.

You will be working inside a monumental building, constructed in 1875, while enjoying the large variety of colorful leather hides surrounding you. It all adds up to a very exclusive experience!

In the beginning of this unique workshop, I will welcome you to my beautiful and cozy leather workplace. With a coffee/tea in your hand, I will explain to you the steps that we will go through in the workshop. I will also show you the tools and materials that you will be using during the making process. You will have the opportunity to choose the (genuine) leather piece that you like from my little “leather market”, with a wide range of colors and various thicknesses. When you chose your piece, we will work together step by step, where I will always keep an eye on your project and help you when needed, to assure that the bag making is done professionally. At the end of the workshop you will have the opportunity to personalize your piece by different engraving options, how special is that! This unique workshop gives you the chance to learn the basics of leathercrafting in a very accessible and fun manner/environment. And the most amazing part: you will take your own, handmade leather bag home! NOTE: - If the timetable doesn’t work for you, message me and we’ll come up with something that does. - We also have vegan leather!

This leather purse making session was absolutely amazing! Emma ant LEERzam Leiden is absolutely lovely to work with and we very much enjoyed our time with her. The purses we made came out BEAUTIFUL! Would highly recommend this studio/Viator offering!!

I had a course at Leerzaam, during my holidays, it was really fun, I made a Handbag with the help of Emma, she explained everything very well! aswell she's such a nice and calm person. I really enjoyed my time over there, we got to learn every step, and always received help when needed. I can highly recommend booking in for a course yourself, it's possible for everyone to received a beautiful piece by the end of the day. Thank you 😊

Amazing experience. We had a lot of fun crafting our own bag in our style and with our own personal finishing touch. Great guidance by the host. At the end we left with a great feeling of satisfaction and excitement for what we made.

Emma thanks so much you made our experience fantastic you welcomed us into your home and never lost patience with my lack of sewing expertise!!! Your knowledge and expertise was awesome ( the coffee chocolates weren't bad either.) For a 2 hr experience we were around 4 hours and loved every second and never once felt rushed. We came away with a great iPad cover and bag which we will treasure as (nearly all our own work ) Therapeutic it certainly was Highly recommended !!!!

A super fun workshop, nice clear explanation, different choice options, offer of tea and coffee. Workshop takes between 3 / 3.5 hours instead of 2 hours indicated on Tripadvisor. You can choose between cutting your leather bag yourself, sewing it together, finishing it. Or choose from a basic bag that you can pimp and finish. *Choice is great!! 👍🏻* You can of course take the bag you made yourself with you.
