The Giant's Causeway is steeped in myths and legend. The setting is a spectacular, dynamic coastal landscape of Atlantic waves, rugged cliffs, fascinating geographical antiquity, secluded bays and magnificent views. It forms a jagged headland of neatly packed columns which point towards Scotland. Visitors can walk along the basalt columns which are at the edge of the sea, just over 1km from the entrance to the site.
Dunluce Castle
One of the most picturesque and romantic structures on the island of Ireland As you cruise along the rugged coastline of County Antrim, you’ll be greeted by a magnificent medieval structure perched high Though today Dunluce Castle is a ruin, its walls have played witness to a feud laden with romance, betrayal and tragedy between the McQuillan and MacDonnell clans. Whether you’re a history buff or someone who loves adventure, you’re in for a treat.
The Dark Hedges
This beautiful avenue of beech trees was planted by the Stuart family in the eighteenth century. It was intended as a compelling landscape feature to impress visitors as they approached the entrance to their Georgian mansion, Gracehill House. Two centuries later, the trees remain a magnificent sight and have become one of the most photographed natural phenomena in Northern Ireland. The iconic beech trees have been used as a filming location in HBO's epic series Game of Thrones®, representing the Kingsroad. Featured Scene: Season 2, Episode 1:
Bushmills Distillery
Stop off for a tasting in The Old Bushmills Distillery is an alcohol distillery in Bushmills, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, founded in 1784 and owned by Proximo Spirits. Bushmills Distillery uses water drawn from Saint Columb's Rill, which is a tributary of the River Bush.
Belfast City Hall
City Hall App offers self-guided tours of our stained glass window collection, the monuments and memorials in City Hall grounds artworks and artefacts. You can also download a copy of the multi-language audio content for £1.99 which adds additional information and interviews from the people of Belfast to enhance your self-guided tour. Please note the audio tour is not a translation of the exhibition displays. You can also visit the Titanic Memorial Garden and a number of monuments and memorials in the grounds.
Peace Wall
It’s been 20 years since the troubles officially ended in Belfast but the divisions in the capital of Northern Ireland are still clear for everyone to see, as you’ll soon realise if you visit the Peace Wall yourself. This is what peace looks like in Northern Ireland – communities separated by a wall up to six metres high; gates along its length that are still locked at night; and artwork painted on either side that talks of harmony but with messages of revenge or oppression. The streets may be quiet these days, the sounds of gunshots or bombs silenced, but the streets are still divided. Physically, at least.

Working through my bucket list this year and so happy I put a focus on Ireland. After all these years finally getting to see some of the most beautiful and historic places in Ireland. We decided to booked VIP Tours for a second time and we were glad we did. John was our driver and it was great to see him. He blends right in with the group and nothing was a problem. He took the thinking out of the planning and we just had to sit back and enjoy!!

My wife and I had a wonderful 2 day trip to Belfast and the north coast with John. He managed to squeeze so much into the two days, from seeing Belfast peace walls to the glens of Antrim and upto the most beautiful beaches on the island that I've seen. We felt like minor royalty being chauffered around but we wanted an experience rather than just hiring a car and we think the knowledge and stories John shared made the difference. There is a lot to do and see in this part of Ireland, from the giants causeway and the rope bridge, to hidden bays and glorious lost villages in the mountains, we felt like we got our money's worth.
