  Overall the tour was great, we learned a lot and saw several beautiful sites. I was disappointed that we were not able to see Dunlace Castle. On the itinerary it listed that the last stop was Dunlace Castle. Our guide told me that was 15 min from the Giants Causeway where we were at, however since it was now getting dark earlier we would not be able to go there to take a few photos. In his words, “it’s not worth it just for a photo”. There should have been a disclaimer stating that in the winter months we would not be able to go to Dunlace Castle, or have the tour begin earlier.

  Excellent value for money Martin was very informative and shared stories that we otherwise would not have known about. We covered many miles and saw many interesting places

  The bus was old and the windows were not clean. We booked this tour because it says it takes the Antrim coast road on the way up to the causeway, but it wasn’t until after we pulled away from the tour office that the driver said he wouldn’t be taking that road due to construction. We were very disappointed and they should have said this before we left to give us other options. The stops along the way were okay, but I wish we had more time at the causeway which was the highlight of the day - it’s absolutely breathtaking. I would have liked othe options for lunch as the buffet at the Hedges Hotel was absolutely awful. We weren’t allowed to order off the menu (which would have been less expensive and offered more options), because all bus tourists had to get the buffet or not being so we were forced to purchase the buffet or go hungry. That wasn’t a good experience. I would say that if you can bring some snacks or a lunch of your own, you should do that instead:

  I am sad to say we did not have a good experience on this excursion. It would've been better to rent a car for the day. We had booked 2 adults and 1 child and had to sit with the 5 y/o 20kg child on the lap during the many hours of driving as the bus was completely full. We were told to be at the stop at 9:00 but the bus didnt leave until 9:30. We did not see Dunluce castle and the driver, while friendly, was hard to understand. The tour is simply a bus trip, no admissions or such, so for that price it makes better sense to just rent a car, really. Then you also get your own seat. The giants causeway is amazing and I recommend you visit this landmark. Bushmill's distillery was just a visit to their giftshop/bar, no tour of the Distillery or such.. So while nice, it does feel like Allen tours really try to get you to spend money at the distillery and especially at the Dark Hedges hotel restaurant.

  Did the Giants Causeway, Carrickfergus Castle, Rope Bridge and Dark Hedges tour with a groups of friends. Sadly the weather was pretty awful and a major part of the coast road was closed because of road works which obviously couldn't be helped. The visit to Giants Causway was very good giving plenty of time to explore and spend time in the visitors centre. If you have a National Trust card that gives you free bus travel to and from the causeway as it's quite a long walk. If you walk through the tunnel instead of going through the Visitors Centre it is free and you can look round the Centre on the way back. The Rope Bridge stop is a waste of time as you only see it from a long distance away and it is only a very short stop at the Castle with no time to enter it. Dark Hedges is OK especially if you are into Game of Thrones and this stop includes time for lunch. If possible try to go when the weather forecast is good and the scenery will be better if the sun is shining.

  If you are interested in Game of Thrones there were several places along the way that there had been filming. The bus was completely packed and the seats that were left were in ill repair. The driver was good at pointing out things along the way and was very clear on what time to be back to the bus. The only food stop was at the Dark Hedges and the food was not good at all with limited options, served cafeteria style and was pricey for what you got yes. The cast of the tour however was very reasonable.

  I got lucky, booked the tour 1 day before and still got the seat. The tour was efficient, on time and very interesting. The gentleman who drive us, is also guiding, informing interesting and amusing Infos along the way, and we got back in the bus as planned from every spot. Would recommend to my friends and family for the next trip 👍

  The driver and guide was very knowledgeable but we couldn’t hear him most of the time. Even when he turned the volume up his voice would tail off and go really quiet. We were too hot half way through so asked him to turn the heating down and he put the fans on and then we got really cold. When the fans were on we couldn’t hear a thing. The tour description was misleading as we didn’t get to go on the rope bridge. I didn’t appreciate how long the tour was until the day before.
