After complimentary accommodation pick-up, we will set off for the heart of Gibbston on a small private tour to visit four cellar doors and journey into the ‘valley of the vines’ to discover these vineyards nestled amongst the spectacular mountain ranges and dramatic river gorges.
Before we get to the first winery there will be a stop at a scenic location and travellers will learn about wine-tasting techniques and wine aromas while soaking up the fabulous views.
In one of the wineries, we will savour a vineyard platter or a cheese board to pair with the wines. There will be time for you to order more food if you think you need (at your own expense).
We will visit boutique wineries that are off the beaten path. There is no set routine, so every day is an adventure. The choice of the wineries visited will vary each day based on your individual group's dynamics. The overall focus is on high-quality wines as well as friendly and informative staff.

5.00Susana did a fantastic job with the wine tour for me and my wife. She selected some cool boutique wineries for us to go to and was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of wine making in the region and the unique qualities of each vineyard. She was also a super fun host and took pictures for us throughout the day. Booking with Winery Day Tours is a easy no-stress choice for a great day in the Gibbston Valley

5.00Susana was a wonderful host on our afternoon wine tour! She was super accommodating with planning the tour and the specific wineries that we wanted to visit and our timing. She started the tour off with an informative history about the region, kept us on track with the tastings, and took and sent us some great photos of the experience. We appreciated how Susana coordinated with the staff without our involvement, behind the scenes, arranging where to sit and paying tasting fees, we felt well taken care of. Susana gave us privacy so we could taste with our family, explained the wine purchasing and shipping options, and advised us on pricing and availability online and in our home country. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

5.00What a wonderful day. We were picked up from our Queenstown accommodation by Susana who the led us on an enjoyable and informative tour of 4 Otago wineries. While driving Susana imparted information on the history of wine production in the region as well as specific information about the wineries we were visiting. The day was meticulously planned, the wines were excellent and Susana was great company. In addition we were furnished with pictures from the day. I would highly recommend Susana if you are looking for a wine tour within the region.

5.00An absolutely fantastic experience! Our private tour was seamless, personalised, and beautifully hosted. We visited a great selection of boutique wineries, enjoyed generous tastings, and had a delicious lunch at Mora with all dietary needs easily accommodated. The day felt relaxed, well-organised, and full of gorgeous scenery — plus we loved having a guide who took amazing photos and kept everything smooth. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a premium, stress-free wine experience in Queenstown!

5.00We had the pleasure of enjoying a private wine tour with Susana as our guide. We were able to choose wineries to visit prior to the tour. My wife and I read reviews and chose three wineries that checked the boxes for us and Susana suggested options for the fourth winery. We enjoyed a beautiful lunch at Mora and tastings at four very diverse wineries - all excellent, but with their own distinct personalities. It was a wonderful and fascinating day and receives our highest recommendation.

She took us to four best wineries at her recommendation and all of them were wonderful, had very friendly and experienced hosts and excellent wines for testing and purchasing. Susana has a great personality and excellent sense of humour, she made the tour an amazing experience for all of us that we will remember forever. She also arranged all details perfectly and shifted the schedule when we asked to be back in town by 5pm. Highly recommended!

5.00This was one of the best experiences we had on our trip! It is also one of the best wine tours we have been on. Susana is an extremely knowledgeable and friendly guide. Her relationships with the various wineries lead to excellent tasting experiences. She is also a great photographer and driver of the winding roads. Wine lovers and novices would all enjoy the combination of beautiful locations, wonderful wine, and fascinating history of the Gibbston Valley.
