Hensol Castle Distillery is located in the cellars of the historic Hensol Castle, a 17th century castle located in the beautiful Hensol, Vale of Glamorgan.
Our gin tour lasts 90 minutes and gives an in-depth insight into the history of Hensol Castle, many of its previous owners having links to the tasty spirits, as well as the history of gin and how it became the popular spirit it is today.
You will then be taken to our botanical room where you will discover over 50 unique and wonderful botancials from all over the world. You will be able to touch, smell and taste them before enjoying a gin tasting with our three delicious Hensol Castle gin.
Finally, enjoy a G&T of your choice in our bar at the end before browsing our shop for some gin-tastic items.

4.00We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the distillery and the lovely welcome and explanations we received from Pip. We also hadn’t expected to learn not only about the gin making process but that the castle itself has such a fascinating history.

It was a hensol gin distillery tour and we were given so much information from years ago up to the present day!

5.00Very interesting and the tour guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. Staff were all super friendly and the bar staff were knowledgeable on they're gin too!! Brilliant day out. X

5.00Interesting tour, which takes you through the history of Gin making and made more intersting by Pip our guide, she did a great job of educating us on the production of one of our favourite drinks.

5.00Our tour guide Pip was excellent & very knowledgeable. We learnt a lot about the history of gin making & also the history of the castle itself & it's current gin & spirits production. We had a great afternoon

5.00We had a lovely afternoon at Hensol gin tour and tasting followed by afternoon tea. There was a warm welcome and staff were very obliging, especially Shelly and Peter (tour guide). Thank you for making us feel so special. We'll definately be back

5.00Fantastic experience from start to finish, lovely tour of the history of gin and the castle. Peter was our tour guide and was very informative and friendly. Me and my partner had an amazing experience and throughly enjoyed tasting the different gins, experimenting with different botanicals and coming home with our personally made gin which was stunning.
Interesting and enjoyable with plenty of gin!

5.00Great afternoon at Hensol Castle Distillery on the gin tour with tasting experience. Took my gin loving nan for her 80th birthday. Group of 20. Gin and mixer on arrival in the underground castle bar. Very atmospheric! Interesting tour with details of the history of gin and also the history of Hensol Castle. Selection of 3 Hensol Castle gins for tasting then another gin and mixture at the end. 2 hours in total and worth every penny. Very enjoyable Saturday afternoon!
