We learned about Girona, Peratellado, saw the Cathedral at Girona, the well preserved Jewish section. The guide taught us why the Christians persecuted the Jews, blaming them for the black plague. The guide sure knew his history, geography and made it even more interesting by adding tidbits of information.

We found Girona to be a fascinating and attractive city, including a rich history. As a bonus, being a big Game of Thrones fan, seeing where scenes of the series were shot in the city was a treat. In addition, our excellent guide Javier took us on a tour of the medieval town of Peratallada. Our excursion concluded with a relaxing visit to the seaside resort of Calella. Great overall experience.
