Then Magnus is your guide. At every turn he elevated our glacier experience-- reading the group, personalizing the journey, and turning our glacier walk into an unforgettable adventure for our whole family (ages ranging from 13 to 75). We were going to forego glacier hiking, until we met him the night before during a northern lights chase. Magnus charmed us. We were captured and jumped at the chance to join him again. If you can, book any activity with him. Then saddle up for an unforgettable adventure you can brag about shamelessly when you get home.

  Amazing glacier hike - worth every penny! Arnar was an outstanding guide: super experienced and really caring throughout the whole adventure. We even got to abseil, explore an ice cave, and as a bonus, see beautiful waterfalls on the way back. Unforgettable experience — highly recommend!

  What a wonderful adventure! Our hiking guide, Thor, was so informative and shared so many interesting and historical stories along the way. I also loved the relaxed feel of the hike.   Was an incredible 6 days journey AT 11 Ancient Trail trekking with Magnus and Fenris -his great white wolf. The landscape is amazing, the hot springs are super unique in natural settings, the planning of each day is impeccable, the meals cooked by Arni are fresh and authentic. Overall my entire experience of Iceland trekking is unforgettable. I love every moment of it and highly recommended Norse Adventures in a heartbeat.

  Magnus, our guide, planned a spectacular trip for our group. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, flexible and accommodated our needs. Lodgings were excellent, food options were plentiful and most importantly he chose stunningly beautiful hikes, glacier walks, motoring around icebergs, and soaking in hot springs, and more. He was also a very skilled driver along rough roads through lava fields and across glacial rivers and always felt safe and cared for. We left with a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and unique culture of Iceland. Truly memorable.

  Norse Adventurers exceeded all expectations…and let me assure you that, as a first time hiker, my expectations (and need!!) of support were super high! Yet not unlike a high end Michelin star experience, the service was professional yet comfortable and friendly, discretely there, yet respectfully allowing us a sense of independence in our chosen adventure! I honestly can not overstate my gratitude to each of the team on this very special trip - thank you! The Ancient Trails boasts spectacular vistas that engulf and embrace, until one day you look up and realise that you are taking all this splendor for granted! You are now ready to delight in the ever changing clouds (and weather!!), the light which is so quintessentially Iceland and, of course, to be entertained by the sagas of Norse Gods and trolls, witches and elves. Such rich conversations about the ancient history of the highlands of Iceland as we stepped in the footsteps of Vikings and listened to Icelanders banter; sharing the trail only with the Icelandic horses and the odd bird and perhaps a fly or two! Magnus, Arnar Thor and Arni made this a trip of a lifetime, but they were outshone by the Norse Adventures star, Fenris the Siberian Husky, who just might be the best dog ever! Challenging, rewarding and a helluva lotta fun, taking the path less travelled and coming away feeling like I really did get to know Iceland!

  Very fun trip. The local guides are super friendly and knowledgeable. The hike is not very difficult yet they provided us with thorough instructions (how to equip hiking gears, walking tricks and safety concerns) so we did not fall or slip on ice). Plus, we got to hear a tale of elves and trolls as a bonus. Highly recommend and will consider going with them again on other tours

  Trip was amazing! It was so much fun. Magnus and Arni took an exceptional care of us - great jokes, stories and playlists. They made sure everyone was safe and happy. I would go again and recommend it to everyone. This glacier experience is a must have tour while visiting Iceland.
